Spotlight on Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort Activities!
Gently curving around the idyllic Crescent Lake, a picturesque inn rises from the water’s edge like something from a 1920’s dream. The bright colors elicit memories of summer vacations, the pool’s roller coaster themeing sets the scene, and a boardwalk- akin to the types I grew up exploring along the Jersey Shore- will transport you to a different time and place entirely.
Although I’m in the process of (attempting) to stay at each and every Disney Resort hotel, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is the only one that has succeeded in drawing me back not once, not twice, but three times! There are countless reasons I keep returning to the Boardwalk, but the Resort activities have always been one of my favorite parts of staying here, let’s check them out!
Movies Under the Stars
In my opinion, the Boardwalk boasts the best spot for their nightly showings of ‘Movies Under the Stars’. Each night, a massive screen is erected right off the boardwalk, on the soft sprawling lawn! With the backdrop of the Resort’s gorgeous façade to frame the screen, there is no better place to be immersed in a classic Disney film than at the foot of one of Walt Disney World’s most popular and in-demand Resorts!
I love to walk back from Epcot and stop off at the nightly movies, they’re a great way to unwind, and the space here allows kids and adults alike plenty of room to get up and play if the mood strikes!
Wine Glass Painting
Every Thursday, wine glass painting is offered to guests staying at the Resort at one of the newest late night hot spots, Abracadabar! Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a late night partier to partake in the experience, because the paintings take place during the day before the bar opens for the evening. During the class, each guest will get to try their hand at painting two wine glasses that they get to take home as a remembrance of their experience on the Boardwalk!
Design Your Own Wire Mickey Ears
Located on the Village Green every Saturday, guests of all ages are invited to participate in a make-your-own Mickey Ears tutorial! During this experience, guests will be guided through the process of creating and decorating their own interpretation of the world’s coolest mouse ears- and the best part about it is that you can show off your creation in the Parks!
Canvas Painting
This instructor-led class is perfect for anyone with a knack for painting…or anyone who wishes they had the knack for painting! No matter your skill level, these classes (taking place at Trattoria al Forno every Thursday) will walk you through a step-by-step process to assist you in creating a canvas painting that you’ll be proud to show off to your friends when you return home!

Get ready to take on the boards, runners!

Boardwalk Juggler
He’s always out and about. You can usually find him bopping around on the Boardwalk nightly playing tricks, doing magic, and tossing his juggling balls to- and sometimes at- passing guests! Watching his show is always entertaining, and no matter how exhausted I am after a day spent in the Parks, his performance always puts a smile on my face and re-energizes my spirit!
