Atlanta Braves Slide Into Final Spring Training Season at Walt Disney World
Today is a bittersweet day if you are an Atlanta Braves and Walt Disney World fan like myself. While pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training today, 2019 marks the 22nd and final season the Braves will call Walt Disney World home. Beginning in 2020, the Braves will call North Port, Florida in Sarasota County home for their Spring Training sessions.
But, before that happens, there is a great lineup of Major League Baseball action coming to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex including appearances by the Houston Astros, New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals.
The 2018 National League East Champion, Atlanta Braves, will kick off their first home Spring Training game on Monday, February 25 against the Washington Nationals at 1:05 pm. The Braves will also play two games against the Houston Astors on March 4 and March 17. The New York Yankees will come to play at Champion Stadium inside the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on March 18.
Other teams that are coming to play the Atlanta Braves this season at Walt Disney World include the Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies, Detroit Tigers, and the Miami Marlins.
The final Spring Training home game for the Atlanta Braves at Walt Disney World will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 1:05 pm against the New York Mets.
