Check Out the Four Amazing Festivals Coming to Epcot in 2019
Guests visiting Walt Disney World throughout 2019 won’t want to miss your chance to visit one of Epcot’s incredible festivals at various times throughout the year. With each of these four wonderful offerings, you can expect delicious treats, special events, fun family-friendly activities and so much more. Check out how you can enhance your Disney World visit with one of these incredible seasonal offerings!
Epcot International Festival of the Arts: January 18- February 25, 2019
Guests visiting in Early 2019 won’t want to miss this annual celebration of the visual, performing and culinary arts. The festival takes place over 39 fun-filled days. Edible works of art will be available across 15 festival marketplaces and feature everything from red-wine-braised short ribs with parsnip puree at Cuisine Classique to vanilla, rose water and pistachio pannacotta at Masterpiece Kitchen.
This year the popular Disney on Broadway Concert Series will offer concerts every day of the festival. Here you can watch some of Disney’s leading Broadway talents perform musical numbers from some of your favorite musicals including “The Lion King” and “Beauty and the Beast.”
Visitors will also enjoy interactive fun around every corner. Whether your paint a mural, pose for a memorable photo in the frame of an iconic piece of art or participate in a workshop, this is an Epcot visit you won’t soon forget!
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival: March 6 – June 3, 2019
You don’t have to have a green thumb to appreciate the millions of spring blossoms that transform Epcot into a wonderful world of brilliant color during this spring fest. The festival runs for 90-days and features flowers, topiaries, themed food, drinks and entertainment. 2019 marks the 26th year of the festival. New for the year will be a Bo Peep and Sheep topiary from the upcoming Toy Story 4 as well as a new Family Play Zone inspired by the film. Special gardens will feature butterflies, bamboo and Shakespeare’s metaphoric plants. As always, the highlight will be the festival’s 70-themed topiaries where you’ll find everyone from Daisy Duck to Snow White.
The festival is also a haven for Disney foodies. New Outdoor Kitchens will feature their very own herb and veggie gardens taking “locally sourced” to a whole new level. The Garden Rocks Concert Series will also be back for another year with returning favorites like The Spinners and Herman’s Hermits along with new artists like Colin Hay and Men at Work.
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival – Summer/Fall 2019
Dates have yet to be announced for Disney’s hottest culinary event of the year but trust us when we say you won’t want to miss this dine-around-the-world fest that typically runs from late Summer to November. During the Food & Wine Festival, you’ll find more than 30 Festival Marketplaces offering delicious dishes and tempting sips. Another highlight is the Eat to the Beat Concert Series which presents a diverse collection of hitmakers from a variety of genres including pop, country and R&B. Visitors will also be able to make reservations for the festival’s food and beverage seminars where you’ll learn a few tricks of the trade from the World’s leading culinary talents.
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays – Fall/Winter 2019
Thinking about a destination Christmas for 2019? Then this annual Yuletide extravaganza is just the ticket. Each year Epcot pays tribute to holiday traditions of the World Showcase cultures with musical productions, storytelling, decor, delicious holiday treats and more. A highlight of this fest is the long-running Candlelight Processional which takes guests through the story of the first Christmas with a celebrity narrator, stunning choir and a professional orchestra.
During the Festival of the Holidays, Disney chefs create delicious seasonal dishes at the Holiday Kitchen kiosks which you’ll find scattered around World Showcase Lagoon. Here visitors can feast on everything from savories and sweets to seasonal libations.
As you can see from the exciting list above, each of Epcot’s four festivals provides guests with opportunities to enjoy special entertainment, activities and food. So why not pick your favorite fest and start planning your 2019 Walt Disney World getaway.
