Former Disney Channel Star Debby Ryan Gets Engaged
She said YES! Former Disney Channel star Debby Ryan got engaged over the weekend in New Zealand to Twenty One Pilots drummer Josh Dun.
Ryan played Bailey Pickett on the Disney Channel’s The Suite Life on Deck from 2008-2011. In 2010, she appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie 16 Wishes, which according to Wikipedia “was the most watched cable program the day of its premiere.”
From 2011 to 2015, Ryan starred as the title character on Disney Channel’s popular series Jessie.

Ryan took to her Instagram page to share the news writing, “My dude asked me on a date. I said yeah because I always want to go on dates with him. Then he asked me to be his forever dude.”

Ryan also posted the news on her Twitter account and shared with her followers that, “I said “NO WAY” twice but I meant yes”. As of Sunday night, the tweet had 115,00 retweets and 660,000+ likes.

Ryan went on to post several photos of the engagement of her and Josh, including one of the gorgeous ring. She continued, “He is where all the voices narrow into one sound. My only simplicity, where the important things are clear and the other things aren’t that important. He’s my heart outside my body. He’s a cold water awakening and a warm bed; he’s the only place I can rest. Dudes for life.”

According to People.com, “The former Disney star went on to share that Dun didn’t just surprise her with a proposal — he also flew in her brother and sister-in-law to share the happy moment with them.
Sharing a photo from their engagement dinner on her Instagram Story, Ryan planted a sweet kiss on Dun’s forehead while cuddling up with her brother and his wife.”
