The Liberty Square Riverboat Scheduled to Reopen at the Magic Kingdom Tomorrow
Fans of the Magic Kingdom’s classic steamboat the Liberty Belle will be pleased to know that this classic attraction will once again be voyaging down the mighty Mississippi Mark Twain-style starting this Saturday (December 22nd.)
The attraction has been closed to guests for most of 2018 while Disney carried out maintenance on the area including a partial drain of the waterways. According to disneyworld.com the attraction will be welcoming guests starting tomorrow at 9:30 am and will run until 7:00 pm.
The attraction takes guests on a scenic 1/2 mile journey through the wilds of old America on a steam-powered paddle wheeler. The three-tiered Liberty Belle docks at Liberty Square near the Haunted Mansion and journeys on the Rivers of America around Tom Sawyer Island. Along the route guests are treated to a big dose of vintage Disney with scenes including an early American settlement, a Native American settlement, Fort Langhorn and more! The Liberty Belle is a reproduction of the historic vessel that ferried travelers up and down the Mississippi. It features 4 pristine decks including a Pilothouse, Promenade Deck, Sun Deck and the Main Deck.
If you’re lucky enough to be heading to Walt Disney World soon, don’t miss your chance to travel back in history will moving full steam on the Liberty Belle!
