A Pirate’s Adventure- Treasures of the Seven Seas
Ahoy swashbucklers and swindlers! Are you ready for an adventure? Well, don yer swords and pointy hat, grab your trusty first mate, and get ready to sail the seven seas just like Captain Jack aboard the Black Pearl! A Pirate’s Adventure – Treasures of the Seven Seas is recruitin’ lads and lasses from far and wide in search of the world’s best treasure huntin’ pirates…do you have what it takes?
A Pirate’s Adventure- Treasures of the Seven Seas is one of the interactive games inside Magic Kingdom geared for kids. Although it’s still September, the Christmas merchandise has already hit the (online) shelves, and in my mind, that means one thing and one thing only: the Theme Parks are going to become very, very crowded.
And soon. Not to worry though, you’ve come to the right place if you’re hoping to pack as much adventure into your vacation- and spend as little time in line- as possible, and today’s focus is on keeping your kids energy up, so climb aboard!
What is it?
When the queue lines get long (and unfortunately they will get long), there is an often-overlooked oasis in the heart of Adventureland just waiting to enlist your youngest of pirates into Captain Jack’s grimy crew. If you’re unfamiliar, A Pirate’s Adventure- Treasures of the Seven Seas is best equated to Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom, only without the cards.
Players move through one of five different missions guided by provided maps. The different treasure hunting missions all take about 30 mins to complete, which is the perfect amount of time to distract and reinvigorate an exhausted kid. Adventures of the Seven Seas worked like a charm when my young cousin hit an afternoon slump, and friends and family members have reported the same success!
How to Play
To start the game, you must first seek out the Cartography Shop in Adventureland. Walk past The Enchanted Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise and continue on even when you encounter the Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction. You’ll think you’ve missed it, but the Cartography Shop is on the farthest reaches of Adventureland’s border, and only diligently patient pirates in training will have the stamina to find it!
Once you’ve arrived, your aspiring pirate(s) choose from 5 designated missions by scanning their magic band and The Cartography Shop and receiving a map to help them find success on whatever leg of ocean they’ll be exploring. The 5 games are:
- Heads You Lose: Race against Captain Barbossa to steal the Treasure of the Pacific from a tribe of headhunters.
- Guardian’s Curse: Lure an evil British Captain into a trap and lay claim to the Treasure of the Indian Ocean.
- Haven Defense: Collect ingredients for a powerful spell to hide the secret Pirate port and reveal the Treasure of the Caribbean.
- A King’s Ransom: Follow Jack’s clues to locate a pirate ship where the Treasure of the Arctic is hidden.
- Blackbeard: Battle Blackbeard and win the Treasure of the Mediterranean.
Sound like something that tickles your fancy? Us too! The best part about the treasure hunting adventures is that pirates who have successfully found the treasure get to keep their treasure maps as a souvenir!
Those seeking to become a crew member worthy of swabbing the deck aboard the Black Pearl can complete all 5 missions and earn a special pack of treasure finder cards…one of which Captain Jack himself has signed- his approval isn’t easy to earn!
If A Pirate’s League- Adventures of the Seven Seas sounds like something you and your family might savvy, listen up. Anyone with valid Magic Kingdom admission is able to play, the missions can be completed in under 30 minutes or can be completed at your leisure.
The game doesn’t have a time restriction, so if that queue for Space Mountain suddenly drops below 180 minutes, you can pick up the game where you left off whenever you have time to return!
