Celebrate National Brownie Day at Disney!
When you’re a kid, you’re rarely given choices. Let me rephrase that, kids are always given, at maximum, two choices. Do you want chicken or pasta for dinner? Do you want to wear your red coat or your black coat? Don’t get me wrong, I love having endless options as an adult, but on National Brownie Day at Walt Disney World Resort…narrowing down my list of favorites was no easy task!
If you asked me 15 years ago I would have laughed in my own face, but I’m saying it now…there is a such thing as too many options! Or maybe the pastry chefs at Walt Disney World need to stop being so darn great at their jobs, because when I started this article, I had no idea just how many truly delicious brownies there are! Not only is this list an homage to National Brownie Day, it’s a definitive list of the BEST brownies at Walt Disney World!
Ghirardelli
Since I have two favorite brownies on Property, I’ll bookend this incredible list with my two top pics! You can’t start off with a stronger choice than a hugely thick, dense, gooey, chocolate chip-studded warm brownie from Ghirardelli at Disney Springs.

These brownies elevate every and any ice cream concoction to a level that is of some other world made entirely of brownies- trust me, they’re THAT good! You can add one of these incredible brownies to any ice cream order, or if you’re like me and want to be a purist on the National Day, you can also order them a la carte! Just be sure to specify that you want yours warm.
Beaches and Cream
Yes, their brownies come in this restaurants’ claim to fame (The Kitchen Sink), but there are so many less melty, less gross ways to eat them. The Kitchen Sink is all about pomp and circumstance and not at all about flavor, so my recommendation is to order a less-aggressive, much more appealing sundae on their menu!
The fudge mud slide is my favorite from the restaurant, and the best part about it is that you don’t have to dine at the restaurant to get one! Just walk up to their ice cream-only register and order one to enjoy overlooking the tranquil pool. The sundae is complete with three scoops of ice cream, hot fudge, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and a cherry! Oh yeah…and the whole entire base consists solely of cakey brownie!
Animal Kingdom Lodge
If you offer me chocolate, you will win my love for the day. If you offer me chocolate paired with peanut butter, you will win my love for a lifetime! This flavor match made in heaven is best summarized in two words: The Nayala.

It’s really just a fancy name for ‘peanut butter brownie’, and you can get yours at Animal Kingdom Lodge! Before you go out of your way, let’s see if this thing is really worth the trouble. Dense, gooey fudge brownie base? Check. Creamy, generously swirled peanut butter frosting? Check. Getting an arm workout just from carrying this incredibly hearty and heavy chocolate-laden, peanut-butter slathered masterpiece to your table? Check….yep, it’s definitely worth it!
Casey’s Corner
Disclaimer: frosting fans only beyond this point. It’s not the best tasting brownie out there, but if you’re a fan of that sugary icing that you find on just about every birthday cake out there, this is the brownie for you! I have a friend who loves this kind of icing so much, she goes out of her way to choose desserts that feature massive amounts of the stuff.
She would love this brownie from Casey’s- especially right now! Their usual brownie got an adorable ‘ugly sweater’ makeover for the holiday season! The brownie underneath is the same that you’ll find year-round, but the holiday overlay is likely the cutest version you’ll find!
Earl of Sandwich
Remember how I said I’d bookend with my two favorite brownies? Do you think I’ve gone insane that I’m listing a sandwich shop in a brownie article? You’re justified if so, but don’t question my sanity unless you’ve tasted one of Earl of Sandwich’s own brownies!
The plastic wrapper is off-putting, but what is inside is honestly one of the best brownies I’ve ever tasted. They’re freshly baked daily, and the round, super dense, superbly weighty brownies are studded with dark chocolate chips. That’s not the best part though! To me, this brownie fully captures every aspect of what makes a brownie, a brownie: chewy corners, a soft-yet-crusty top layer, and a center that melts in your mouth. So now, only one question remains: what are you still doing here? Get to Earl of Sandwich before National Brownie Day is over!
