Look What’s Coming To The Tokyo Disneyland Expansion
Not too long ago, Oriental Land announced a Tokyo Disneyland Expansion. Today we have a sneak peek at what we can expect to see with the expansion.
The expansion will feature a host of new attractions, shops, entertainment, and dining to the park in Spring 2020. Here is a look at some of the exciting things Disney has in store.
Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast
Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast is a new attraction that will be housed inside Beauty and the Beast Castle. Reaching 98 feet above its surroundings, the castle and attraction will be the focal point of this newly-themed area in Fantasyland.
New Fantasyland Theming
Fantasyland will contain a newly themed Beauty and the Beast area. In addition to the castle and attraction, guests will be able to explore the nearby Village Shoppes. Guests will feel as though they have stepped right into Belle’s village.
Fantasyland Forest Theatre
A new indoor performance space will also be opening in the new area. The Fantasyland Forest Theatre will seat 1,500 guests and house productions starring Disney characters and music.
Tomorrowland Additions
Tomorrowland will see a couple updates of its own including a new attraction starring Baymax. The Happy Ride will feature the over-sized Big Hero 6 star as he whips and swings guests around to exciting music. This attraction resembles the new Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Guests can get their hands on the popular popcorn buckets at The Big Pop. A new outer space themed shop will sell the popular buckets along with multiple flavors of popcorn to fill them with.
Minnie’s Style Studio
Minnie’s Style Studio is a new location coming to Toontown. This is the first Disney character meet and greet in Tokyo Disneyland where guests can meet Minnie. Dressed in her own fashion creations, Minnie will be available to say “hi there” and take pictures.
Tokyo Disneyland Expansion Plan
Guests can expect all of these new offers to become available in Spring 2020 as part of the resort’s large-scale expansion. In addition to Fantasyland nearly doubling in size, Imagineers are also working on a new “port” at Tokyo DisneySea. The new port will feature stories of Frozen, Peter Pan and Tangled as well as a new hotel.
