Disney Donates $3 Million to Make-A-Wish

Disney donates $3 million to the Make-A-Wish Foundation as part of their recent campaign. From November 4 – 27, Disney invited individuals to #shareyourears in an effort to fundraise for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. As part of Mickey’s 90th celebration, Disney promised to donate $5 for every person who shared their ears up to $2 million.

However, on December 5th, Disney announced that they would be donating $3 million to Make-A-Wish to help grant even more wishes.

Since 1980, Disney has granted wishes of children with critical illnesses. Currently, nearly 10,000 Disney wishes are granted every year with Make-A-Wish, helping wish kids replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope.

#ShareYourEars is part of the Disney Team of Heroes philanthropic initiative and outreach program to deliver comfort and inspiration to families around the world. The Walt Disney Company made a $100 million commitment to re-invent the patient experience in children’s hospitals. In addition, Disney is working with children’s wish-granting organizations to fulfill wishes for children facing critical illnesses.
