Get Your Sweet Fix with the 2018 Disneyland Holiday Candy Guide
Stock up on your toothpaste and floss because things are about to get real sweet up in here! The holidays are in full swing at the Disneyland Resort in California and it’s time to discuss something important: which Disneyland Holiday Candy is going to satisfy your sweet tooth?
Between now and January 6, 2019, you will find plenty of holiday candy throughout the Disneyland Resort. Specialty treats will be located at Pooh Corner and Candy Palace at Disneyland Park, Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure Park, and Marceline’s Confectionery at Downtown Disney.
Candy Apples
First up is my personal favorite: Candy Apples. Is it possible to justify this treat since it involves a fruit? Just because it’s dipped in caramel, topped with marshmallow ears, dipped in chocolate and coated with candies or sprinkles doesn’t make it any less an apple (at least I’ll keep telling myself that).
This year, Disneyland Resort guests will find candy apples in the following varieties:
- Mickey Santa Apple
- Minnie Santa Apple
- Sandy Claws Apple
- Snowflake Apple
Crispy Treats
The iconic Mickey Crispy Treat is a Disney Parks staple. However, it’s even better this holiday season. The traditional crispy treat is taken to the next level and can be found in these two tasty styles:
- Santa Mickey Crispy Treat
- Mickey and Minnie Gingerbread Crispy Treat
Cake Pops
Cake Pops must be one of the greatest gifts to the foodie community. Everyone loves cakes. Everyone loves convenience. Cake on a stick? Voila! The best of both worlds. This holiday season you can find the following cake pops at the Disneyland Resort:
- Chocolate Snowflake Cake Pop
- Vanilla Jack Skellington Cake Pop
- Vanilla Snowman Cake Pop
A Sprinkling of Sugar
In addition to the candy apples, crispy treats, and cake pops, guests will also be able to indulge in a few other sweets, including:
- Chocolate-Dipped Marshmallow Wand coated in Crushed Peppermint
- Peppermint Bark
- Peppermint Fudge
- Churro Toffee (only at Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure Park)
The Coveted Candy Cane
Last, but definitely not least, is the ever-popular hand-pulled candy cane. These hand-crafted peppermint sticks measure 18″ long. Due to their popularity, the candy canes are only available on select days, at designated locations:
Candy Palace: Nov. 23, 26, 28, 30; Dec. 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 24
Trolley Treats: Nov. 24, 27, 29; Dec. 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25
If all of this Disneyland Holiday Candy doesn’t have you ready to book your next dentist appointment, I don’t know what will! Regardless, you know there is always something for you to sink your teeth into at the Disney Parks.
Note: As per the Disney website, “A limited number of candy canes will be available for each release while supplies last. Wristbands will be distributed accordingly at park opening. Wristbands are limited, available while supplies last. Limit ONE (1) wristband per guest. Wristband entitles bearer to purchase ONE (1) candy cane at designated location. Wristband must be shown at time of purchase. Information subject to restrictions and change without notice, including but not limited to release dates, prices, etc. No discounts apply. No exchanges or refunds.”
