Disney World Makes Sure Parking Fees Are Enforced at the Resorts
By now, I’m sure everyone is aware of the new parking fees that have gone into effect at all Walt Disney World resort hotels. As of March 21st, Guests registered at the resort will have a per-night charge applied to their hotel folio and the fee will be paid upon their check-out date.
Apparently, some Guests have been finding their ways around not paying these fees. And just as you have guessed, Disney has found a way to ensure this new fee is paid.
Guests would bypass visiting the front desk upon arrival by using their My Disney Experience app to check in early using the online check-in feature. By doing that, these Guests were not registering their parked vehicle, in turn, not being charged the parking fees.
To try and fix this problem, Disney has stationed non-security Cast Members in the security booths at the resort hotel entrances. When you first enter the resort for the first time, all Guests must show proper picture ID and give their reason for going into the lot.
So now, there will be a Disney World security guard and a non-security Disney Cast Member in the resort parking lot booths. The Cast Member is there to look up the Guests reservation info and register their vehicle if they have one to park overnight.
So far, these resorts have already started this process:
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Complimentary standard parking is available to Guests staying at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Each campsite provides parking space for one (1) motorized vehicle.
Valet Parking is available at select Disney Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villas for $33 per night (sales tax included).

Designated parking areas are available throughout Walt Disney World Resort for Guests with disabilities. A valid disability parking permit is required.
Standard Overnight Parking charges per Resort Category:
