Most Iconic Photo Spots in Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World in itself is home to the most selfies in the world. Everywhere you look as you walk through the parks, chances are you will 99.9% see a person taking a photo. Whether they are using their phone, using Photopass, or taking a selfie – millions of photos are taken on a day to day basis at Walt Disney World. So where are the best places to snap a photo? Cinderella’s Castle
This one may be obvious to you, but Cinderella’s Castle is one of the most photographed locations on the globe. Do not leave the park without getting a photo of yourself in front of this iconic castle!
The Purple Wall
Millennials have become obsessed with taking photos in front of plain colored walls. For some reason they are just “Instagramable.” The most popular plain wall to take a photo in front of is at Magic Kingdom. Folks know this wall as “The Purple Wall.” It is located between the Hub grass and the entrance to Tomorrowland.
This wall has become so famous over social media, that Disney now offers merchandise that says the purple wall, and they’ve also created food and beverages inspired by the famous purple wall.
Spaceship Earth
Many people don’t actually know the name of this location even though selfies are constantly being taken here. People refer to this as “the Epcot ball,” or “the giant golf ball.” This giant thing that can be seen from far distances is actually called Spaceship Earth, an attraction at Epcot.
Inside the giant ball is a ride that normally has a short wait. Guests sit in moving vehicles that take them through American history, all inside the giant ball! Who would have thought!? Most think this giant ball is just the Epcot symbol, but it is truly more than meets the eye.
The Tree of Life
This tree is located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Although it is not a real tree, it sure does look like it. If you look closely, engravings of many animals are carved into the wood on the tree. Under the tree as an attraction – It’s Tough To Be A Bug. This attraction is a show featuring Disney’s Bug’s Life character.
At night time, this tree turns into a show. The animals engraved on the tree come to life. The tree can be seen from almost everywhere in the park as it sits in the very middle! Take a selfie in front of the Tree of Life to become a part of the trend. There is a PhotoPass location just in front of the tree that offers a special Animal Kingdom zebra frame for your photo.
Rock ‘N Roller Coaster
This location may not be as easily recognized as Walt Disney World, but many selfies are still taken here daily. Located at Hollywood Studios, Rock ‘N Roller Coaster attraction has a giant, red electric guitar at front that makes for awesome photos, and proof that you survived the ride!
The Disney Store – Disney Springs
You would think this location is an odd place for photos, but something just outside the doors attractions people here constantly. Outside the Disney store entrance just across from the Lego store are statues or Cinderella and Princess Aurora.
There is constantly a line formed next to these statues of people waiting to take their pictures with the princesses! Who would have thought that people would rather take photos with these statues than the actual princesses themselves in the parks!
Hub Grass
Just past Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom is an area known as The Hub. This is the circular area that has bridges leading to all lands. In the middle of this area is the Partners statue of Walt and Mickey. Just before you reach the partners statue are grassy areas for people to hang out or picnic in.
Some even watch fireworks in this area…but many go to this area to take pictures. People aren’t always taking selfies in this area, but you’ll often see people having photo shoots here on days like Dapper Day as it makes for a pretty background with the castle in view.
