How to Celebrate National Pumpkin Day at Disney
Fall! It’s that time of year when the leaves begin to change to beautiful colors, the hot sticky humid air becomes a bit cooler and crisper and our attention turns to … everything pumpkin! October 26 is National Pumpkin Day where we honor these tasty fruits (yup, they are fruits and not vegetables!) that we wait all year for.
Here, we have a all-pumpkin guide to where you can find some tasty pumpkin treats to keep your cravings satisfied. There are pumpkin cupcakes and pumpkin shakes, pumpkin beers and pumpkin Brûlée, pumpkin lattes and pumpkin churros, and pumpkin candy apples and pumpkin macaroons, and we have just touched upon the pumpkin mania!
Gasparilla Island Grill
Let’s start at the Grand Floridian’s Gasparilla Island Grill with a Pumpkin Cupcake — the world is so much better when there’s a cupcake around. This cinnamon sponge cake has pumpkin cream filling, maple buttercream, fall leaf sprinkles, and a sugar pumpkin on top. It doesn’t get any better than this.
Pumking Imperial Ale
Maybe you want something for the grownups? How does a pumpkin beer sound? At Disney Springs you can enjoy a stein of the Pumking Imperial Ale by Southern Tier Brewing Co., which has just a hint of pumpkin pie and spice. It’s like the entire fall season came in a beer. Cheers! You can also select a Pumpkin Baileys Irish Coffee – which is a pumpkin spice espresso topped with whipped cream. Keep the pumpkin coming!
Pumpkin White Russian
At Enzos Hideaway Bar in Walt Disney World, you won’t want to hide away when you try their Pumpkin White Russian, which is made from Hangar 1 Vodka, Monin Pumpkin Spice, heavy cream, and a sprinkled sugar rim glass. You’ll want to scream and let the whole world know how good it is!
Yummy Desserts
Decadent pumpkin desserts are a great way to end a mea — or just have all on its own – so make sure you stop by at the Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant and try their mouthwatering Pumpkin Crème Brûlée Tart. It’s a tart with fried cheesecake bites, caramel toile, and chocolate ganache. The Amorette’s Patisserie will take your love of pumpkin to a new level with their Mickey pumpkin macaroon while Ghirardelli offers frozen, hot and Iced Pumpkin Pie Lattes.
Shake it!
Summer might be over, but ice cold pumpkin shakes are still a delectable treat. At D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs, they serve a tasty pumpkin shake that is literally like sipping a piece of Thanksgiving’s pumpkin pie. It includes pumpkin, caramel and graham crackers swirled together. Excuse us, we need a napkin to wipe our drool. You can also find a pumpkin spice shake on the menu at Flo’s V8 Café in Disney California Adventure!
If this isn’t enough of pumpkin food selections to satisfy your cravings, how about the addictive churro balls? The Disney Springs’ 4R Cantina Babacoa Food Truck offers these yummy treats that you’ll wish were made year round.
Now this is just a start on your mission to try everything to fuel your pumpkin passion in Disney. The season is a short one and before you know it we’ll be writing about spring again, so get the pumpkins while you can! Enjoy National Pumpkin Day!
