Create Edible Works of Art During Your Disney World Visit at Amorette’s Patisserie
For visitors to Walt Disney World looking for something fun to do that is slightly off the beaten path, we have a delicious experience for you! Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs offers cake decorating classes introducing guests to the techniques that go into decorating one of Amorette’s signature Mickey Character Cakes (pictured above.)
Since opening in 2016, Amorette’s signature Disney-themed cakes have created quite a buzz and it’s easy to understand why! They are made up of a decadent combination of flavored chiffon cake, mousse and either buttercream or fruit jelly!
Now visitors have the unique opportunity to sign up for a 90-minute cake decorating experience at Amorette’s in the heart of Disney World’s downtown shopping district. This fun and informative offering takes place at shops Show Kitchen before Amorette’s opens for the day! During this small-group lesson an instructor will share stories, tips and tricks while taking you through the process of creating these edible works of art.
You’ll get some fantastic hands-on experience making your own creation including pouring glaçage as well as coating Mickey’s ears, buttons, belt and tail with edible paint!
The experiences are offered Sunday through Thursday and the cake designs vary based on the day of the week. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday classes feature the Classic Mickey Design. On Mondays and Wednesdays, guests have the opportunity to decorate a seasonal version of the cake.
The cost to attend is $149 plus tax and includes 2 guests decorating one cake. The fee includes non-alcoholic and alcoholic refreshments as well as the chance to take your delicious cake home with your (or back to the resort!) The Patisserie will also be more than happy to hang onto the creation for you while you shop at Disney Springs and you can pick it up on your way out!
