Cuties Named Official Citrus For Disney Parks
A perfect pairing was just announced this morning! Cuties, America’s original clementine brand, is now the official citrus fruit of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort! This strategic promotional agreement brings Cuties to numerous food and beverage areas throughout these legendary Disney Parks. As a result, it offers families the opportunity to enjoy this healthy, kid-friendly snack at any time during their vacation, starting this fall.
“Cuties and Disney Parks is a natural fit because so many kids and parents love both Cuties and Disney,” said Berne Evans. Evans is the CEO at Sun Pacific, the grower and shipper of Cuties. “Cuties are a nutritious, sweet snack that are easy for families to enjoy on-the-go while they create lifelong memories at Disney Parks. We’re excited to be a part of that iconic vacation experience.”
Where To Find Them
Due to their popularity, families visiting Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort can purchase Cuties at select fruit carts and grab n’ go locations that currently sell fresh fruit. Also, the Cuties product will be a featured healthy side in kid’s meals at select Quick Service Restaurants. Similarly, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Resort will introduce other Cuties branding.

Cuties are harvested during the winter time and are made up of several delicious varieties including Clementines, W. Murcotts and Tangos. In Sun Pacific’s California orchards, Clementines are harvested between mid/late October and early January, and Murcotts and Tangos between mid-January and April. All of these delicious varieties are part of the Mandarin family.
“Disney Parks works to create magical, unforgettable experiences for families in everything we do,” said Carlos Castro. Castro is the vice president of Disney Corporate Alliances. “This includes aligning with brands that families know and love. We are happy to be providing Cuties as a healthy food option that the whole family can enjoy.”
Sun Pacific
Furthermore, Sun Pacific will be discussing the new alliance at booth Number 1385 at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit Oct. 19-20 in Orlando, Fla.
In the early 1980s, Clementine mandarins were first imported from Spain to the Northeast region of the United States. Consumption of the sweet little fruit grew rapidly. As a result, during the 90’s Sun Pacific began looking for a way to make this sweet little fruit available to even more kids in America. Finally in 1999, Sun Pacific began planting Spanish Mandarin trees south of Bakersfield, CA and named the perfect little fruit Cuties.
Founded in 1969, Sun Pacific® is a leading California grower, packer, and shipper of the highest quality fresh citrus, kiwifruit, and table grapes. Sun Pacific is the owner of America’s original clementine brand, Cuties®, and number one kiwi brand in North America, Mighties®. Also included in Sun Pacific’s portfolio are exceptional brands such as Air Chief® table grapes and Vintage Sweets® navel oranges.
