Disneyland Refurbishment Schedule for October 2018
We here at MickeyBlog don’t want you to get caught out during your upcoming visit to Disneyland. Stay up-to-date on the latest Disneyland refurbishments and closures with our monthly updates!
Disneyland Refurbishments and closures as of October 8, 2018, are as follows:
Disneyland:
- Matterhorn Bobsleds – This attraction closed for refurbishment on July 30, 2018. No re-opening date has been announced as of yet. Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for further updates.
- “it’s a small world” – This Disneyland classic will close for a brief refurbishment from October 22 – November 8, 2018.
- Space Mountain – Guests visiting Disneyland on November 1, 2018 will want to take note that this attraction will be closed for the day presumably to remove the Halloween overlay Space Mountain receives each Fall.
- Mark Twain Riverboat – The Riverboat will be closed beginning on November 12, 2018. No official re-opening date has been given as of going to print.
Disney California Adventure:
- World of Color – This esteemed nighttime water pageant remains closed. Disney is still expecting it to re-open sometime in late 2018.
Disney Grand Californian Hotel and Spa:
- White Water Snacks- White Water Snacks is currently closed for refurbishment and is slated to re-open later in 2018. In the meantime, select menu offerings will be available at Hearthstone Lounge.

Disneyland Hotel:
.Tangaroa Terrace – Tangaroa Terraces is currently closed for refurbishment and is expected to re-open in early 2019 as Tangaroa Tropical Bar and Grill. In the meantime, select menu offerings will be available at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar as well as The Coffee House.
