6 Great Places to Eat the Best Sushi at Disney World
When you are on vacation, what do you want? Probably a bit of rest, relaxation and, most definitely, some great meals and for some people, that is sushi. If you’re craving the Japanese dish while you’re at Disney, you won’t have to look far to satisfy your craving. There are several places in Disney World where you can get your sushi fix. Here are the best places to order sushi at Disney!
Morimoto Asia
Sushi lovers will love the sushi bar at Morimoto Asia, located in Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs. Here you can try Eel and Avocado Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll or the Sushi and Sashimi Platter for your entire party. Morimoto Asia is a wonderful place to get some sushi at Disney.
Splitsville Luxury Lanes
Bowling and sushi go together like bowling and French fries, right? Well they do when you’re bowling in Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Downtown Disney. So, while you figure out how to pick up that dreaded 7-10 split, you can nosh on a grilled avocado and ahi tuna. This is a halved avocado filled with seared ahi tuna in spicy kimchee ponzu sauce.
Then, celebrate your turkey – no it’s not an entrée it’s three strikes in a row — with their Ninja Crunch, fried salmon and Kani Kama crab rolled with fresh salmon and topped with tempura crunch, spicy mayo and eel sauce. Splitsville is a great place to have fun and enjoy some sushi at Disney at the same time.
Walt Disney World Swan Resort
At the Walt Disney World Swan Resort, you can enjoy a variety of cooked sushi rolls. Some include the Asparagus Roll with tempura asparagus and cream cheese, Ichiban Roll with assorted veggies, Coconut Shrimp Roll, and Dancing Eel Roll Krab with avocado and eel. Top it off with one of their signature drinks, such as The Kimonos Dragon with Bacardi Dragonberry Rum, passion tea syrup, fresh strawberries and champagne (double yum!).
The California Grill
Located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, here you can enjoy Spicy Tuna Tekka Maki Rolls which features crab, shrimp, scallops, tuna in a fireball sauce. The California Grill is many people’s “go-to” place for the best sushi at Disney. Make sure to make a reservation here far in advance though!
Tokyo Dining
At Tokyo Dining – located in Epcot’s Japan Pavilion – you must try the Fire Cracker Roll Tempura Shrimp Roll. It includes wakame salad and jalapeno finished with eel sauce, shredded red pepper, and sriracha drizzle. Not sure what you want to order? How about trying a sample sushi platter that includes tuna, salmon, and shrimp nigiri, two pieces of a California roll, and a Spicy Tuna roll.
Kona Cafe
If you visit The Kona Cafe at the Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you can sit at their own Kona Island sushi bar. Here you can choose from a variety of sushi on the menu, including nigiri with traditional-style salmon and tuna, or a volcano roll that features a Spicy Tuna Seafood Lau’ai and tempura crunch.
They also offer a tasty Hamachi Tuna-Cilantro Roll which has hamachi tuna, avocado, and cilantro served with the café’s ponzu sauce. Who wouldn’t want to try the Dragon Roll with eel, poached shrimp, and avocado with eel sauce? If you prefer veggies, order the vegetable Nigiri Six which is pieces of our Chef’s Seasonal Vegetables.
Oh, by the way, when you’re done with your delicious sushi at the Kona Café, top off your meal with their unbelievably decadent Te Fiti’s Island Mousse dessert. It is a passion fruit and coconut mousse dome with pineapple and seasonal sorbet.
