Festival of the Lion King Dining Packages Are Coming Soon to Animal Kingdom
If you’re planning a visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Festival of the Lion King is high on your priority list then we may just have the perfect dining option for you! Disney announced that Festival of the Lion King Dining Packages will soon be available to book! This offer will include a top-notch meal at Tiffins Restuarant (one of a handful of Fine/Signature dining restaurants in all of Walt Disney World) coupled with special VIP seating at the much-loved Festival of the Lion King.
As part of this exciting new package, Disney is offering two dining options (Tier I and Tier II.) Both packages include a three-course lunch or dinner at Tiffins Restaurant on Discovery Island which comes with an appetizer, entree, dessert and your choice of wine, beer or soft drinks.
Both packages will include menu items inspired by the season with unique dishes from around the World. Appetizers include items live Avocado-and-Tomato Salade, Spiced Chickpea Falafel, and Charred Octopus.
For the main course, guests can dine on tasty items like Kamo Ramen (duck confit, poached eff, spiced coconut broth, alba mushrooms and chilli-lime cashews). Another dish sure to please is the Shrimp and Grits (with Gulf white shrimp, Anson Mills grits, applewood smoked bacon, heirloom tomatoes and smoked pepper jam). There’s also the Surf and Turf (with grilled local beef tenderloin, butter poached lobster tail, Yukon gold potatoes, seasonal vegetables and Cape Mountain Whiskey butter.) Rounding up the entrees is the Fort McCoy Beef Tenderloin (with char-crusted beef tenderloin, loaded crushed potato, seasonal vegetables, bacon-sherry vinaigrette and crispy shallots.)
Let’s not forget dessert! Options include Guava Mousse, South American Ganache or Whipped Cheesecake!
Both Tier I and Tier 2 options come with special vouchers for priority reserved VIP seating at Festival of the Lion King. This Broadway-style show has it all- singing, dancing, acrobatics and so much more as it takes you through the key scenes and musical numbers from the much loved The Lion King film. Let’s take a look at what you’ll get at both tiers:
The Festival of the Lion King Tier I Dining Package: This package includes all of the fantastic treats listed above PLUS a unique safari tour through the African outback where you can catch a glimpse of the over 34 distinct species that call this area home. Escorted by a special guide you’ll ride through rugged terrain to catch these animals in their natural habitats. The cost for this tour (including the meal at Tiffins, priority seating at Festival of the Lion King and the safari) is $99 per adult and $49 per child (ages 3-9.) Taxes and gratuities are not included.
The Festival of the Lion King Tier II Dining Package: This package includes lunch or dinner at Tiffins and priority seating at Festival of the Lion King and costs $74 per adult and $29 per child (ages 3-9). Taxes and gratuities are not included.
The Festival of the Lion King Signature Dining Packages will be available for performances starting August 13 until November 21, 2018. Booking opens tomorrow (August 2, 2018). Reservations can be made online using the My Disney Experience website or app or by calling Disney at 407-WDW-DINE.
