3 Great Disney Dining Options to Consider
Dining at Walt Disney World can be a daunting task as there are an endless selection of Disney dining options and menus to choose. When selecting a restaurant, it is easy to select one of the popular choices like Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom or 50’s Prime Time Café at Hollywood Studios. There are many hidden gems on Disney property if you are looking for a culinary adventure.
When deciding on a restaurant, most people will either stick to the restaurants at the theme park or at their home resort. Take a day to explore restaurants located somewhere other than your home resort. Be open to sampling new flavors and experiences when it comes to dining at Walt Disney World.
Sanaa at Kidani Village – Animal Kingdom Lodge
One of my favorite restaurants, is Sanaa at Kidani Village within Animal Kingdom Lodge. Kidani Village is a Disney Vacation Club resort for Animal Kingdom Lodge, but you can still visit the restaurants, shops and participate in activities offered within the resort. Sanaa is a wonderful combination of African food with Indian flavors.
My favorite dish to enjoy is the appetizer that is an Indian-style bread service. You have a choice of five breads which include Traditional Naan and Paneer Paratha along with your choice of three accompaniments like Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and Mango Chutney. To make your meal even more magical, this restaurant has a view of the Sunset Savanna at Animal Kingdom Lodge where you can see giraffes, zebras, and kudu walking right past the restaurant window. It’s almost like you are enjoying your meal in the middle of an African safari. Sanaa is one of the delicious Disney dining options you should consider!
Trail’s End Restaurant – Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds
For the next restaurant, you might want to make sure you arrive with an empty stomach. Trail’s End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds has one of the best buffets on property. My favorite time to visit is during those early breakfast hours where you can sample dishes like Eggs Benedict with Pulled Pork, crispy Mickey Waffles, and fresh fruit. If you make reservations at Trail’s End Restaurant, please allow yourself plenty of travel time. Once you reach the resort, either by car or bus, you must travel in another bus to the back of the property where Trail’s End Restaurant is located. Trail’s End is one of the best hidden Disney dining options for your Disney vacation!
Beaches and Cream – Beach Club Resort
Last, but not least, dessert. As mentioned previously, the Disney resorts house some of the best restaurants on Disney property and a Beaches and Cream dessert is a great way to end your day or cool off in the middle of the day. Beaches and Cream, located at the Beach Club Resort, serves some of the most decadent desserts you can imagine from malts and milkshakes, sundaes, and ice cream sodas. The most amazing dessert is the ever popular Kitchen Sink which serves four people. This dessert is a concoction piled high with copious amounts of ice cream and any topping you can imagine for your favorite sundae. Ice cream may be the highlight of this small restaurant, but there is also a quick lunch and dinner menu featuring sandwiches and fries that pair well with your dessert. Beaches and Cream is one of my favorite Disney dining choices!
The choices of restaurants are endless. Use your imagination and get out of your comfort zone. Create a menu that allows your family to experience the wonderful world of food at Walt Disney World.
