Disney’s Incredible Summer Merchandise

After a 14-year absence, Disney/Pixar’s most famous and fabulous super family will be back where they belong up on the big screen on June 15^th, and their heroic cinematic return is what sparked the inspiration behind Walt Disney World’s ‘Incredible Summer’! Well, the wait is over for both the film and the summer events as Walt Disney World’s ‘Incredible Summer’ has officially kicked off at the Resort! In Tomorrowland, you can boogie and groove the night away with the Incredibles during their newest installation of their famed dance party in between sampling the new food offerings through the park. In Epcot, you can rock out to a Guardians of the Galaxy-themed concert series, and in the Animal Kingdom, Donald Duck and his prehistoric friends have taken over Dinoland for the duration of the summer. The opening of Toy Story Land will be the final piece in the Pixar-heavy puzzle of brand new offerings.

Vacation epitomizes summer so perfectly, and although a trip to Walt Disney World is always my #1 destination, I sometimes have to remind myself that there are other people in my family and friends circles whose opinions matter- case in point, a trip to my favorite place isn’t always in the cards. If your summer vacation is taking you to the beach instead of the Parks, you’re probably experiencing some major Disney FOMO, but don’t worry, there’s a cure for that! I guess we’ll have to wait for the film to find out why Dash and Violet are running away from home.

Instead of using traditional musical movie scores, the Guardians of the Galaxy films look to some seriously cool mixtapes to create the musical mood, and the mixes from films 1 and 2 are the inspiration behind the new concerts in Epcot. The Awesome Mix Live! Concert series runs June 9-August 19 and features live alien musicians playing real instruments! I heard that Star Lord and Gamora might make a few appearances too.

As much as I’d like to fly to a tropical destination with my friends, a ‘staycation’ party is what we decided on for this summer. We’re planning a big bash for outside and, since they’re friends with me, they are all avid Disney fans who will expect some high-level themeing!
