Enjoy a Coke at Disney
There isn’t a more iconic American drink than Coca Cola. I’m sure Budweiser would argue differently, but anywhere your summer vacation brings you this year will never be more than a stone’s throw from a Coke- even abroad! The classic American cola is, of course, the soda brand of choice at Walt Disney World Resort and although the beverage is available in its traditional form at every dining location, there are some Walt Disney World exclusive twists on the drink that you can only find while at the Resort. When I traveled to Walt Disney World a few months ago with a group of family members who have a ravenous affinity for Coke, my eyes were opened to a slew of eccentric and quirky Coke drinks I never knew existed, and I can’t wait to share them with you!
FroCo
FroCo (aka frozen Coca Cola slushies) bring back memories of long, hot summer afternoons spent playing in the direct sun of my grandparents’ yard. After we had played for hours and hours on end, my grandfather would pull up to the backyard loaded down with a drink carrier full of frozen Cokes in everyone’s’ favorite flavors. It’s been years since I’ve sipped a soda slush, and I had forgotten of the refreshing beverages’ existence until my uncle took a turn towards a little kiosk in Epcot near Test Track selling Frozen Cokes or, as he called them. FroCo’s. The kiosk is located right next to the Test Track Pavilion and the frozen drinks they’re serving are tailor-made for cooling you down!
Club Cool
While you’re in Epcot, Coke fans should definitely check out Club Cool. Located in Innoventions, Club Cool offers free (yep you read that right) samples of interesting and exotic flavors of Coke that are popular around the world. The folks in China prefer watermelon-flavored cola while the people south of the border clearly prefer an Apple flavored drink. You can sample all of the different flavors as many times as you like. I will warn you, though, some flavors are not what they seem!
Coke With a View
Warm summer evenings beg us to get outside for a relaxing stroll. They also pair quite nicely with a cocktail or post-dinner scoop of ice cream! When you visit Disney Springs this summer, Coca Cola fans should not miss their chance to visit the Coca Cola Store for both practical and comical Coke-themed merchandise. My favorite part of the Coca Cola Store isn’t the glass-enclosed walkway to the rooftop (although it’s pretty awesome!)…it’s the rooftop bar!
Every night at Disney should end with a little dessert, and the rooftop bar at Coke is boasting a unique way to enjoy the classic drink while overlooking the bustling activity of the Springs below. For just under $11, the 8-drink Float Tray comes in as one of the most inexpensive dessert options at Walt Disney World for what you’re getting. You can choose up to 8 different flavors of Coke and watch as the bartender pours them over mini scoops of vanilla ice cream! I like to eat my floats with a spoon- I’m all about that ice cream!
Share A Coke At…
Have you ever purchased a Coke because the bottle had your name on it? The “Share A Coke With…” campaign has sold me on a bottle or two with my own name splashed across the label, so when I heard that brand-new destinations were being made exclusively for Disney Parks, I couldn’t wait to search out the bottles! Starting this week, you’ll be able to share a Coke with your loved ones with bottles featuring iconic attractions like Big Thunder Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, and Tomorrowland, the new bottles are great for containing your drink while also providing you with a fun new prop for your photos. Which destination Coke bottle will you pick up when you visit Magic Kingdom this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
