The Best Disney Attractions for Marvel Fans
Hey Marvel fans, listen up. Disney World is about more than princes and princesses. If you couldn’t get enough of Infinity War and you live for the next Guardians of the Galaxy trailer, you might want to plan a vacation that puts you on a Marvel-based ride and lets you feel like you’re right in the middle of the action. Here’s what’s available and what’s coming up:
Iron Man Experience (Hong Kong Disneyland)
Buckle up, because Tony Stark is about to take you on a peaceful 3-D flight over Hong Kong in this Iron Man Experience. Wait, you really thought that this ride was going to be peaceful? It is Marvel, you know. Extraterrestrials are about to turn your flight into a must-save-the-world adventure. You’ll tag along as Iron Man fights the creatures and does his best to get you back to the Stark Expo, but before you know it you’re right in the middle of the action.

Guardians of the Galaxy (Walt Disney World, FLand Disneyland in CA)
Marvel fans have come to love Rocket, Groot, Drax, Peter and Gamora, and Walt Disney World in Florida has already taken notice. Right now, fans can enjoy “Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live,” at Epcot, but in 2021, you will be able to ride the indoor Guardians of the Galaxy Rollercoaster, just in time to celebrate Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary.
At Disneyland’s California Adventure Park, Guardians fans will love Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! which took the place of the Tower of Terror. Entertained with, of course, music from the 1980s, you’ll experience random stomach-turning drops while you peek in and see the Guardians latest battle. By the way, if you love 80s music, dancing or watching the Guardians dance, stick around for the Guardians Dance Off!

Avengers (Disneyland, Paris)
Marvel fans will say oui, oui because Disneyland, Paris is expanding to include more rides, thrills and excitement for those who can’t get enough Avengers – and isn’t that all of us? Let’s start with the Disney New York Hotel that will be transformed into The Art of Marvel by 2020. Once you unpack, you’re going to want to ride the Iron Man/Avengers Roller Coaster that will take the place of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster with Aerosmith (opening by 2021). This is just the start because Disneyland, Paris is creating an entire Marvel Land where you’ll be able to team up with Ant-Man and The Wasp to fight Arnim Zola and his army of Hydra swarm. The changes are going to take some time and be unveiled little by little until 2023, so it’s a perfect opportunity to start saving up for a once-in-a-lifetime Paris, and Avengers, adventure.
Rumor has it that a Spiderman ride is in the works too as Disney asked for a patent for long-armed technology – could it be to allow fans to swing from a Spidey web? We’ll see!
A little secret? For vacation planning purposes, Disney World in Florida is contractually obligated to not have any Marvel characters in their Florida parks. That does not include Guardians and the Black Panther so hopefully we’ll see something based on those characters in the future. Who knows?
