We all know that Walt Disney World is known for its iconic eats – popcorn, pretzels, ice cream and even Mickey waffles. HOWEVER – did you know that the theme parks are about SO much more than those classic well-loved treats? Each week, I’m ready to show you a unique tasty treat and where to find it on your next Disney vacation!

Tasty Treat: Pixar Candy Apple Cuteness
Pixar Pier opens in only a few short months (June 23rd to be exact), but guests visiting prior to this much anticipated event can still enjoy many of the festivities at Pixar Fest. And if my most recent post about the Pixar themed churros didn’t make you consider a trip to Disneyland this summer, then it’s time to up the game and show you ALL of the Candy Apple Cuteness that has arrived for Pixar Fest!
Yes, yes, I know! Candy Apples are a Disney theme park staple. These delightfully tart granny smith apples are dipped in caramel, melted chocolate and decorated with candy sugar, marshmallows and even more chocolate! It is a sugar-lover’s delight!
But what makes these particular apples worthy of a mention on Tasty Treat Tuesday are their unique and adorable cuteness. Sometimes … it’s not about taste that can make a treat worthy of a mention in this weekly post. Sometimes, it’s all about looks, and these beauties are a work of art!
It’s time to visit Disneyland, again, readers … because these candy apples will not be around for long! In a battle of East vs. West, Disneyland is slowly edging its way towards a Summertime win when it comes to brand new tasty treats!
Pixar Ball Apple
Celebrating Pixar’s iconic symbol, the bouncing ball that pops across our screen and brings with it the joy, emotion, and wonder of a Pixar film! Dipped in yellow chocolate and striped with blue chocolate, blue sugar, and topped with a fondant red star. This treat is available at Pooh Corner in Critter Country at Disneyland Park and Marceline’s Confectionary in Downtown Disney through June 22nd. Then, you can find it at Candy Palace in Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street in California Adventure Park starting June 23rd!
Alien Apple
Let’s say Oooooooo. Everyone’s favorite green alien from the Toy Story franchise is now in candy apple form! The caramel covered granny smith apple is dipped in green and blue chocolate and decorated with blue and purple sugar, white and dark chocolate eyes, a mini-marshmallow antenna, marshmallow ears, and a dark chocolate smile. These treats are available through June 22nd at Candy Palace on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland.
Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater Apples
Everyone will be racing over to try these Cars themed candy apples. Ka-chow! The Lightning McQueen apple is dipped in red chocolate, decorated in red sugar. The Tow Mater apple is dipped in milk chocolate dusted with orange powder. Both are decorated with marshmallow wheels, white and dark chocolate, and small round candy-coated chocolates. You can spot one of these at Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street in California Adventure park through June 22nd.
Dory and Nemo Apples
Just keep swimming and you’ll find some of the most adorable Nemo and Dory themed apples! Both are dipped in white chocolate and covered in blue or orange sugar, decorated with hand-cut marshmallows, white and dark chocolate, and small round candy-coated chocolates. Marceline’s Confectionary in Downtown Disney has these adorable apples all summer long!
Buttercup Apple
And the winner of all cuteness – the Buttercup Apple! Inspired by the lovable Buttercup from Toy Story 3, this apple is dipped in white chocolate and decorated with marshmallows, yellow sugar, pink chocolate and a corn chip horn! Find it at Candy Palace on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park through June 22nd. Go now! Take a photo in front of the castle with this darling treat. Then eat!
