Everything You Need to Know about Via Napoli
Mangia and savor authentic Italian flavors at Disney’s Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria. Located in the Italy pavilion, this restaurant is one of the best places to eat in Epcot’s World Showcase. From the pizza baked in wood fire ovens, to the open air atmosphere, here’s everything you need to know about Via Napoli.
Step into Italy
When you enter the restaurant, you’ll feel as though you’re enjoying a meal outdoors in the Italian countryside. The pizzeria is decorated in rustic frescoes and glass chandeliers imported from Italy. An absolute focal point of the main dining room is the beautiful communal table embellished with hand painted tiles depicting Italy’s most notable monuments. You and your family can choose to feast with your fellow Disney guests at this long table. There are three wood-fired ovens named after the active volcanoes in Italy; Etna, Vesuvio, and Stromboli. These massive ovens can reach temperatures up to 800 degrees and cook a pizza pie in 2 minutes.
Like a Big Pizza Pie
While we are on the subject of pizzas, their traditional, thin crusted Neapolitan pizzas are prepared with a lot of care and attention to detail. They import real Caputo flour from Southern Italy and use fresh mozzarella and San Marzano tomatoes. Via Napoli offers a wide variety of toppings for their wood-fired authentic pizza pies to choose from. If you want to get your hands on the cheesiest pizza around, then order the quattro formaggi, a white pizza with mozzarella, parmesan, fontina, and provolone. Enjoy a classic margherita pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and fresh basil. There’s even the option of building your own pizza and choosing whatever toppings you are in the mood for. The possibilities are endless!

Raise a Glass
Enjoy your belle notte with a drink. The blood orange cooler, made in-house, is refreshing burst of citrus flavor. If you are over 21, try the Via Napoli sangria, a blend of Italian wine and fresh fruit, or the Sicilian Sunset, made with vodka and orangecello over shaved ice. Any one of these drinks will quench your thirst.
Appetizing Appetizers
Start your meal off with Calamari Fritti, crispy fried squid over spicy red tomato sauce. There’s also a trio of fried risotto balls filled with mozzarella and meat ragu. If you prefer a healthier appetizer while still enjoying the flavors of Italy, you should definitely try the Gamberetti Fagioli, a cannellini bean salad served with jumbo shrimp and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.

Plenty of Pasta
Via Napoli also has delicious pasta dishes. The Spaghetti e Polpettine has juicy veal meatballs with a generous helping of fresh tomato sauce over pasta. Seafood lover? The Linguine allo Scoglio serves an abundance of shrimp, clams, and mussels tossed with spicy tomato sauce. Another menu standout is the Lasagne Napoletana. It’s made with meat ragu, fresh egg pasta, and creamy bechamel sauce and is baked in the wood fired oven.
Sweet Amore
Treat yourself to an Italian style dessert. You can’t miss trying their Zeppoles, light and airy ricotta cheese fritters that come with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Another classic Italian treat is a trio of Gelati. Vanilla, chocolate, and pistachio flavored gelato with lemon sorbet. It’s sweet and refreshing. Pair any sweet treat with some Italian coffee and you’ve got a perfect way to end your culinary adventure of Italy.
