My Top 5 Favorite Disney Princesses and Where to Meet Them at Walt Disney World
Being obsessed with Disney growing up, I was always drawn to the princesses. One year for Christmas I even created a wish list for Santa: 1. Go to Disney World 2. Get a puppy 3. Be a Princess. Even as an adult, I find myself still completely obsessed with Princesses. Disney Princesses are strong and amazing role models for children all over the world. The messages these princesses create for people continue to inspire and allows people to reach for their dreams. So, who are my top 5 favorite Disney Princesses? It’s actually a super tough question, but after careful consideration, here is my list!
- Belle
- Snow White
- Cinderella
- Tiana
- Rapunzel
Honorary Mentions include:
Esmerelda (as she no longer meets at WDW)
Queen Elsa (technically not a Princess)
5. Rapunzel
Going after what you want can be terrifying. That never stopped Rapunzel. Yes, she had her moments of regret, but then jumped back to following her dream. Always able to protect herself, she never let anything get in her way. Rapunzel had a dream and went after it. Worried she would be disappointed in her dream, she confided in Flynn who told her she could find a new dream. Though she never needed a man in her life, there is nothing wrong with having one! I relate so much to Rapunzel in that aspect, not to mention being terrified to fulfill a dream and having the most amazing husband to encourage me and help me find new dreams. She’s incredibly smart, talented, and probably isn’t even aware at how amazing she is. With these characteristics, it makes her an extremely related character and makes those around her immediately fall in love which is why she is available to meet all day long!

4. Tiana
Teaching those to work hard and never give up on a dream, Tiana continues to inspire people to work hard for what they want. Tiana inspired me to go back to school and do all that I could to achieve my dream. Though I have a long way to go I still feel like I’m almost there because I am taking the steps to succeed. Her memories of her father and his dream continued to push Tiana throughout her life and through her struggles. I’m lucky enough to still have my dad with me, though he lives far away. I know I can call him and get the encouragement I need to dig a little deeper and keep going. Being such a relatable character, Tiana can be found throughout Magic Kingdom!

3. Cinderella
A true rags to riches story, Cinderella creates hope for those who seem to have lost all hope. Her story continues to inspire those to keep on dreaming no matter what. To this day, when I see Cinderella I get more than a little emotional. Though growing up my favorite princess was Snow White, Cinderella was my favorite story. Deep down, I truly believed I had a fairy godmother and she was simply lost. Growing up, I decided to be my own fairy godmother and transform myself into something I did not even know was possible. When I first moved to Florida, I was alone and scared, but Cinderella reminded me to keep on believing regardless of how difficult things had become. I kept dreaming, and my dream did end up coming true. Her positive outlook continues to inspire so many guests, and with her beautiful castle being the icon to Walt Disney World, it is only fitting she meets so frequently at Magic Kingdom.

2. Snow White
Snow White will always have a special place in my heart as she was my favorite growing up. Her innocence and positivity, even in a horrible situation, made it impossible for me not to love her. I can recall being very young in the theme parks and requesting a Snow White dress. I loved that dress so much, once we returned home I wore it almost every day. Getting older I began to relate to other princesses more than the OG that is Snow White. She reminds me of what it was like being a child and will forever remain one of my favorite princesses. Being a classic princess, there are multiple locations to meet and see her.

1. Belle
My all-time favorite Disney Princess, Belle is someone that many outcasts relate to. On many levels, I relate to Belle more than any other princess. No, not because my father was kept prisoner and I took his place and fell in love with a beast (totally normal story), but because I seek adventure. Growing up in Michigan, my days were relatively the same and lacked excitement. It wasn’t until I moved to Florida that I really began to understand how much I sought adventure. Plus, we both have brown hair, so there’s that. Never really fitting in with the crowd, I struggled to find my own place. I think many of us struggle with this even as adults. Belle taught me the importance of never judging a book by its cover and to never settle for anything less than what you deserve. If you have watched the new live action film, know that when Beast sings “Evermore” I sob every time I hear it. She continues to inspire me and will forever be a part of the reason I am who I am. I am forever thankful to Belle. With her being such a favorite to many, there are multiple opportunities to meet and see Belle.

Special thanks to Ashley Dion for writing this article! Former cast member turned annual pass holder, I am a native Michigander who moved her entire life to Orlando, FL to be surrounded by all things Disney. I met my fellow Disney-lover husband while working for the Mouse and now we frequent the Walt Disney World theme parks and resorts as pass holders as often as possible!
