Lunchtime at Magic Kingdom (Part 2)
With reservation selections like Liberty Tree Tavern, Be Our Guest, Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen, and seasonally operation Diamond Horseshoe, it can be difficult to try and obtain a reservation to those restaurants. Since lunchtime at the Magic Kingdom is solely based upon Quick Service Experiences while dinner is geared toward table service reservations, eating lunch at a quick service restaurant can be more stressful than eating dinner at those same restaurants.
Having specialty dining experiences in Magic Kingdom is wonderful for those adventurous eaters, but for other picky eaters (like myself), the best places to dine are The Crystal Palace, The Plaza Restaurant, and (my personal favorite) Tony’s Town Square Restaurant! Let’s take a deeper look at the atmosphere, location, and the most important part: the menu!
Lunch Menus in the Magic Kingdom
The Crystal Palace
Located at the bridge off Main Street U.S.A. just before Adventureland, this literal crystal palace is wall to ceiling windows providing beautiful natural light guaranteed to make any picture fabulous! Celebrate Friendship Day with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore as the wander through the restaurant and make their way straight to your table! The character dining experience is perfect for the biggest Winnie the Pooh fan. Containing an All-You-Care to eat walk-up buffet, you are able to make your own selections and create the plate of your dreams. Just remember to leave room for dessert. (Lunch and Dinner menus are relatively the same, without revealing much about the food itself) From past experiences at The Crystal Palace, I thoroughly enjoyed the food as an extremely picky eater!

Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
Located in Town Square on Main Street U.S.A just next door to where Mickey Mouse greets all the guests of Magic Kingdom lies Tony’s Town Square Restaurant. Fashioned after Lady and the Tramp, this Italian Restaurant was the perfect layout for Lady and Tramp’s first date. Though no longer needing to sneak around, Lady and Tramp still manage to find their way back to Tony’s each day. (Ask your server for their autograph’s and you will have your very own Lady and Tramp paw prints!) The romantic setting for Lady and Tramp can be romantic for couples, or a perfect location for a quiet family lunch/dinner. This is by far my favorite restaurant in Magic Kingdom! Summing it All Up
Take the time to sit down and enjoy a relaxing lunch before jumping back into the park. Make plans before your trip to avoid long lines at quick service restaurants during lunch hours. Most guests eat lunch around the same time, creating longer waits and fewer tables during peak times. With many eating dinner at different times, and most guests having dinner reservations around the theme park, quick service opens up and is not as busy later in the day as it can be during lunch hours. Think about a lunch reservation over a dinner reservation and have a similar dining experience without letting the hanger take over!
