Limited Edition”I Was There” Merchandise Only Available on October 1st as Epcot Celebrates 35th Anniversary
If you haven’t heard Epcot will be celebrating its 35th Anniversary on October 1, 2017. Since 1982 guests have been experiencing the excitement of the future and discovering the heritage and traditions of cultures around the world. If you will be celebrating at Epcot on October 1st Disney has created a special “I Was There” merchandise collection to commemorate this special event.
Figment from the Journey Into Imagination attraction is featured on all of the “I Was There” merchandise. Figment has been at the park since the early days of Epcot and has delighted many guests throughout the years. This retro-inspired collection complements the other 35th anniversary merchandise guests will find all year long.
The collection will include seven items including apparel for adults and kids, a hat, an ornament, and a limited release pin. Annual Passholders will find a t-shirt created just for them (guests will need to present a valid Annual Pass at time of purchase).
These items will be released at a “pop-up” shop located just past the Art of Disney location in Future World on October 1st. This will be the only place in Epcot that will carry the “I was There” collection. However, I did see a t-shirt on the Shop Disney Parks app.
Guests looking for the Epcot 35th Anniversary logo collection will find products in select Epcot merchandise locations, such as Mouse Gear. Select items will also be carried online and via Shop Disney Parks app.
