The Best Dinner Shows at Walt Disney World
One of the things that makes Disney so special is the wide variety of fun, family entertainment that is found throughout Walt Disney World parks and resorts. From parades and street parties to nighttime fireworks shows, Disney has a way of bringing out the kid in all of us! Disney thinks of everything and knows how to make every activity more fun, including dinner! If you are looking to enjoy a themed dinner, along with some unique Disney entertainment, you should consider bringing your family to one of Disney’s dinner shows. Each one offers a different experience, so be sure to read on to decide which would be best for your next vacation!
1. Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
Located at the beautiful Polynesian Village Resort, in Luau Cove, this enchanting luau offers an all-you-can-eat, Polynesian inspired dinner. Your meal will be served family-style and includes salad, pulled pork, ribs, roasted chicken, vegetables and, for dessert, pineapple-coconut guava cake with chocolate crunch. Kids can enjoy mini corn dogs with tater tots, cheese pizza, or grilled chicken or fish with rich and green beans. Soft drinks, lemonade and coffee are available, as well as beer and wine for guests 21 and older. While you are enjoying your Polynesian feast, you will be entertained by dancers, drummers and a fire-knife performer. Your hostess for the night is Auntie Wini, who will show you the true traditions of the Polynesian culture.
2. Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
How does dinner with Claire de Lune, Johnny Ringo, Dolly Drew, Six Bits Slocum, Flora Long and Jim Handy sound? Well, if you are looking for a fun night of foot-stomping, hand-clapping fun and lots of laughs with these guys and gals, you’ll want to head over to Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground! For 2 hours, you will be entertained with songs, dances and vaudeville comedy! The whole time, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat dinner, including buckets of fried chicken and smoked bbq ribs, salad, baked beans, cornbread and strawberry shortcake. Beer, wine and sangria are included for guests 21 and older, while soft drinks are available for everyone. This will be a dinner you won’t soon forget!
3. Mickey’s Backyard BBQ
Mickey, Minnie and friends have the perfect night planned for you! Get ready for a hoedown like no other! Just make your way over to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and head to the outdoor Pavilion. Here you will enjoy a night of food and fun! A good, old-fashioned backyard bbq menu awaits: hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ ribs, smoked chicken, corn on the cob, mac ‘n cheese and so much more! Quench your thirst with lemonade, fruit punch and soft drinks, while guests 21 and older can enjoy beer and wine. Throughout the night, you can enjoy some live country music, do some line dancing and get photos and autographs from some of your favorite pals, like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Chip ‘n Dale (just remember that characters are subject to change.) If you want extra time with the gang, you can reserve Category 1 seating, which allows you early entrance to the Backyard Pavilion, character meet & greet prior to the show and priority seating! Honestly, what could be better than a BBQ with Mickey?
Make Reservations!
Here are a few things to keep in mind about the dinner shows…reservations can be made for up to 180 days in advance and are highly recommended. Payment in full is due at time of booking. If you are celebrating something special and want to make this experience extra-magical, just be sure to let the cast member know when making your reservation and Disney will do their best to acknowledge your celebration! There are different seating categories available for each show. 2 table service credits on the dining plan can be used for Category 2 or 3 seating. All dinner shows can accommodate most special dietary needs. It’s best to notify Disney of any dietary restrictions at time of booking and then upon arrival. It is recommended that you arrive 30-60 minutes prior to your reservation, as the dinner shows are very popular. This will give you enough time to be seated and to get ready for all the excitement that the night holds!
Many people like to take a break from the parks, but don’t want to feel like they are missing out on any of the fun…and dinner shows are a great way for guests to be able to accomplish this! It is also a fantastic way to see other resort areas. Whether at Spirit of Aloha or Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue or Mickey’s Backyard BBQ, you can enjoy dinner, have lots of fun and then go exploring through the resort. Each one is so unique and so wonderfully themed that this will truly become another magical Disney adventure that you can share with your family!
So mark your calendar for your 180 day mark and be sure to reserve one of these dinner shows…you won’t regret it!
