Disney Cruise Line Youth Clubs
Disney understands families and for this reason, Disney Cruise Line has gone above and beyond to offer a wide variety of activities to appeal to all guests on all sailings.
Whether you are traveling with toddlers, school-aged children, tweens or teens, Disney has you covered with their youth club options!
Each age group has their own supervised area created for them to play, relax, hang out and meet new friends…all while the adults can spend some time exploring the ship! Check out these great options with the Disney Cruise Line Youth Clubs!
Disney’s Oceaneer Club
A club designed for guests ages 3-12 (all children must be fully potty-trained to participate.) Upon arriving at the Oceaneer Club, children will meet their awesome Disney counselors and can start enjoying the multi-themed lands throughout the club.
This interactive and larger than life playspace offers character performances, storytelling, dress-up activities, arts & crafts and games. In addition, there are ongoing Disney movies throughout the day if the kids just want some time to relax.
The themes vary from ship to ship, but some of the rooms you’ll see are Andy’s Room, Disney Infinity Game Room, Pixie Hollow, Star Wars: Millennium Falcon, Star Wars: Command Post, Marvel Super Hero Academy, MARVEL’s Adventure Academy, Mickey Mouse Club, Disney Junior and Frozen Adventures.
Kids will have a blast becoming one of Andy’s toys while climbing, sliding and playing in his room; learning Super Hero tips and tricks from MARVEL pros; practicing their Jedi skills and mastering the force in the world of Star Wars; playing dress up and listening to stories in Tinkerbell’s home; playing games and doing some crafts inspired by the big guy himself, Mickey Mouse; celebrating the world of Frozen and so much more!
Disney’s Oceaneer Lab
The fun does not end there, though! Connected to the Oceaneer Club is Disney’s Oceaneer Lab, another option for guests ages 3-12.
Kids are allowed to move between the 2 clubs as much as they want and Disney counselors will be there to help and escort them if needed.
Kids sailing on the Dream, Fantasy or Magic will enter this club and be transported into a world of seafaring pirates; while on the Wonder, they will go to infinity and beyond as guests of Buzz Lightyear!
No matter what ship you are on, though, there are games, experiments and activities for all! In addition to unstructured free time, where kids can explore and play, there are also guided activities and adventures for them to participate in.
Activities vary by ship, but kids can play video games, listen to music and stories, try their hand at Disney animation, go on a scavenger hunt, put on performances, bake cookies and take part in some crazy and messy science experiments! The only trouble you may have is getting them to leave!
Edge
The tweens in your party can head to Edge, a special lounge exclusively for guests ages 11-14. Here they can hang out, play games, watch movies, do some crafts and meet some new friends. The lounge provides several seating areas with bean bag chairs, ottomans, tables and chairs, computer, video gaming and music listening stations, and flat screen TVs!
In addition to these fun hangout areas, Edge offers guided activities every day. Activities vary by ship, but include scavenger hunts, role-playing, improv performances, trivia contests, and karaoke. Be sure to have your tween check out the illuminated dance floor on the Dream and Fantasy; or the kid-friendly computer lab on the Magic and Wonder.
You can find Edge on the Dream and Fantasy by going to Deck 13 and heading to that red Forward Funnel! Yup, it’s right inside there! Awesome, right? On the Magic and Wonder, go to Deck 9, midship, and you get started with all the fun!
Vibe
Vibe is the spot for teens to be! This teens-only club, intended for guests ages 14-17, boasts music listening stations, several flat screen tvs, and a cool coffee bar, serving fun, non-alcoholic beverages. Just keep in mind that items from the coffee bar are an additional fee!
On the Dream and Fantasy, make your way to Deck 5 Forward and find the secret entrance! Teens can also visit the private, outdoor sundeck.
There are splash pools, pop jets and misters, along with ping pong, foosball and board games. If they want to show off some talent, they can star in a talent show, compete in a karaoke contest or dance competition, and even try out some DJ mixing and spinning!
For those who want to be pampered a little, have them head to Chill Spa for facials, massages, manicures and pedicures!
Sailing on the Magic or Wonder? Then you will have no trouble finding Vibe because it is located in that famous red Forward Funnel on Deck 11! How cool is that? Once inside, you will find video games, board games, dvd players and a jumbo LCD screen for gaming and movies!
All the ships offer group games and activities for teens, including team challenges, technology based adventures, performing in “Hollywood” movies and a team game of “Elimination!” Since activities vary by ship, be sure to check out the daily schedules during sailing.
The options don’t end onboard, though. Teens who are on a Bahamian cruise, can participate in “The Wild Side.” This is a teens-only excursion in Castaway Cay, offering snorkeling, biking, riding in a high-speed boat, playing games and hanging out at the teens-only beach clubhouse, The Hideout. Who else wishes they were a teen again?
it’s a small world nursery
Don’t worry…Disney didn’t forget about the littlest cruisers! For guests ages 6 months-3 years old, there is “it’s a small world” nursery aboard each ship.
Here your little ones can play games, make crafts, watch movies, listen to storytime and take naps. You can rest assured that they will be immersed in Disney fun, while you are having some alone time on the ship or taking part in an excursion!
Space is very limited for the nursery, so it is highly recommended that you make reservations as early as possible. Please note that there is an additional hourly fee for nursery services.
There is so much magic for kids of all ages to experience while onboard, but the fun starts the minute you begin planning your Disney Cruise!
