5 Favorite Attractions in Epcot’s Future World
Epcot has many great attractions…here are 5 of our favorites in Epcot’s Future World that you won’t want to miss on your next Disney vacation!
Mission: Space
Have you ever wondered what it is like to be an astronaut? Wondered what it would be like to be launched into space by a rocket ship? Mission: Space is a space shuttle launch simulator modeled after actual NASA instrumentation. As guests make their way though the Planetary Plaza, they will see a stimulation lab where a gravity wheel simulator can be found. Before boarding the shuttle, guests can also spot a Command Room with control panels and a Lunar Roving Vehicle. Upon boarding your very own space shuttle simulator, Gary Sinise, the actor from Apollo 13, will provide you with instructions. Each member of your crew will have one of four specific duties: engineer, pilot, commander, and navigator. Guests have the choice between two intensity levels: orange and green. The Green Team experiences a less intense experience, designed for those who experience nausea, motion sickness, or are looking for a more subtle experience. The Green Team’s simulator will also stay completely still instead of spinning. The Orange team will encounter more tilts and spins, and a lot more G-force. Once boarded, guests will strap in and be launched into the sky. After flying past the stars and the moon, cadets will aim for a perfect landing upon the surface of Mars. This once in a lifetime experience gives guests an opportunity to experience life as a real NASA astronaut and will leave guests with memories to last a lifetime.
