How Phase 4 Will fill Tony Stark’s Void in the MCU
Avengers Endgame changed the landscape of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Tony Starks sacrifice taking its toll on the universe; we approach how Phase 4 will fill Tony Stark’s void in the MCU.
He was there since the beginning.
The entirety of the MCU began with the story of Tony Stark; a philanthropist, billionaire, and occasional superhero, whose unmatched smarts made him one of the most vital and irreplaceable characters that Marvel has to offer.
With Endgame forcing Stark to make the ultimate sacrifice, the void left by the character has rippled through the entire universe.
A void that Marvel will certainly intend to fill, the question is who has the necessary qualities to fill such a hole?
The first thought, for many, is the person who learned the most from Tony; that person is the young, yet incredibly smart, Peter Parker.
The character has had a very parental relationship with Parker; with Tony nurturing Peter’s ability as Spiderman, and as the brilliant young mind he is.
Yet, circumstances may not allow this to come to fruition; with Sony and Marvel approaching the end of their agreement allowing Marvel’s use of the Sony property.
In PArkers age, there are still questions as to how he would be able to take the incredibly demanding place Tony held while still being so incredibly young.
Then who? Who has the qualities capable to replace Tony’s MCU void? The Answer is in the current phase of the MCU
Phase 4 will fill the Tony Stark Void left in the MCU; because Phase 4 will introduce Marvel fans to Reed Richards.
Reed Richards, known to many as Mr. Fantastic, is one of Marvel comics’ most important characters; not only is he the long-running leader of The Fantastic Four; he has long been proven to be one of Marvel’s smartest characters.
With ability and genius that is unmatched by other characters within the Marvel Universe, Reed stands among a rare few within Marvel’s Illuminati; an organization that collects the smartest minds in the universe to solve the world’s greatest problems.
This led way to Marvel’s exploration of the Council of Reeds; a collection of Reed Richards variants who have used their unmatched genius to take over their respective universe; for better or worse.
This is Reed Richards; one of Marvel’s smartest characters, most reliant and capable leaders, while still being focused on the greater good.
Yet, Reed remains focused, first and foremost, on his family; a character-driven to create a better world, not for himself, but for the generations to come. Sound familiar?
Tony Stark’s sacrifice left the MCU missing one of its greatest Avengers; Reed Richards will be the inheritor of that legacy.
