Disney Park Pass Reservations, A How-To Guide
Now, Walt Disney World and Disneyland require Park Pass reservations. Here, you will learn how to make Disney Park Pass reservations.
Last Summer, Disney Parks required Park Pass reservations due to limited park capacity. Even though park capacities have increased, Park Pass reservations are still mandatory.
Requirements
As mentioned above, Disney Parks requires anyone (ages three years old and older) to have Park Pass reservations.
First, you should check the park availability calendar prior to purchasing tickets or booking your resort. Park availability calendars are available for Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Walt Disney World Park Pass Reservations
You must have a My Disney Experience account in order to make Walt Disney World Park Pass reservations. In addition, every friend or family member in your party must have a linked park ticket.
If you know everything is linked properly, then log into your My Disney Experience account. You may begin the process on the My Plans page.
Your tickets will automatically be linked once you link your resort package. However, you must link stand-alone tickets to your account before making Park Pass reservations.
From there, you need to select “Make a Park Reservation”. Then, choose every person in your party who needs a Park Pass reservation and click “Continue”.
Next, select your park date and desired park. You must agree to the Terms and Conditions, as well as the Covid-19 Liability Waiver, before confirming your selection.
You can make another Park Pass reservation once your park date and desired park are confirmed.
Disneyland Park Pass Reservations
Again, every member of your party must have a valid park ticket in order to make Disneyland Park Pass reservations. However, Disneyland’s Park Pass Reservation System works a little differently than Walt Disney World’s system.
First, you must join the virtual queue and log into your Disney account. Here, your tickets should already be linked to your account.
After you complete the virtual queue, you will create your party. Then, select your date.
Keep in mind, you can only make Park Pass reservations for one day at a time. Therefore, you must complete this process each separate day if you have a multiple-day trip.
Next, select your desired park to begin the day. Finally, Disney will email you with a QR code for your Park Pass reservation.
That’s it, you’re ready to go! Remember, all reservations can be viewed in the Disneyland App.
Park Pass Reservation Edits
Keep in mind, you must cancel your current Park Pass reservations if you wish to make any changes. After that, you may repeat the process for a new Park Pass reservation.
Again, you should check the park availability calendar before you make any changes.
My Disney Experience App
Yes, the My Disney Experience app has a link to make Park Pass reservations. Simply, select the plus (+) symbol at the bottom of the page and then “Make a Park Reservation”.
Automatically, the primary web browser will appear, so you can log in. Then, you will select your party and move forward with your Park Pass reservation.
Park Pass Reservations and Park Hopping
Now, anyone who has a Park Hopper ticket may Park Hop. Walt Disney World allows Park Hopping after 2:00 pm and Disneyland allows Park Hopping after 1:00 pm.
In order to Park Hop, you must make a Park Pass reservation for your first park of the day. You may Park Hop once you check into your reserved park, after the required time, and if there is still capacity for the second park.
