“So Epic…”: Twittersphere Explodes After Seeing New Frozen 2 Trailer
It’s getting closer and closer. But after yesterday’s premiere of the latest Frozen 2 trailer, there’s an exclamation point at the end of the phrase November 22(!).
None other than Cosmopolitan posted: “Twitter Is Melting Down Over the Dark… New ‘Frozen 2’ Trailer.”
“Frozen 2” Causes Twitter Meltdown
I’m just gonna come right out and say it: Frozen 2 looks even better than the original 2013 Disney classic. Send tweet. No cap. I said what I said.
In the newest trailer, Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell) are on a mission to unearth the mystery of Elsa’s powers and save their home from another threat. Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Olaf (Josh Gad) are coming too, I guess. Here’s what the official release from Disney says:
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, she’ll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In ‘Frozen’, Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In Frozen 2, she must hope they are enough.
That’s dramatic…and so is the trailer. Watch for yourself:
Will “Frozen 2” Surpass The Original?
I watched it, but I am not going to go as far as saying that Frozen 2 will surpass Frozen (although I already love the new songs). However, Ms. Tannenbaum found a whole bunch of folks on Twitter who seem to fall right in line behind her:
Frozen: building snowmen, bonding over chocolate, trolls that talk, cute duets ?
Frozen 2: DARK secrets, MYSTERIOUS pasts, the KINGDOM IS IN DANGER, elsa is WALKING INTO FIREWHYIS SHE WALKINGINTO FIRE !!! ???#Frozen2— Emily (@emswanderland) September 23, 2019

However, one thing I totally agree with Emily about is the darkness inherent in this upcoming film.
Tannenbaum wrote:
Can we talk about how dark and exciting this sequel looks? Fully grown people on Twitter—who have every right in this world to enjoy an animated adventure about the power of sisterhood, leave me alone—are rightfully melting down.
And, of course, we agree with Emily about one more thing:
Honestly, November 22nd can’t come soon enough.
