New Epcot Experiences, Attractions, And Logo Coming
We previously brought you the exciting news that Epcot is embarking on a multi-year transformation. The idea is to make the park “more Disney” with new experiences that are considered more relevant to the millions of guests who visit each year.
First to change is the logo for Epcot.
This seems to be a return to a similar previously proposed logo from 1978. According to D23, Card Walker, then Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, nixed the design, saying that it reminded him of a stop sign.
Displays of new merchandise sporting the design were out for display.
Earlier today we discussed the upcoming attraction called Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana”. Which you can read more about HERE.
Another new addition is the a new experience center in the Odyssey Events Pavilion, called Walt Disney Imagineering presents the Epcot Experience. It will bring guests up-close and personal with engaging and interactive exhibits that display the upcoming changes to Epcot. Visitors will see some never-before-revealed details driving the future of Epcot all throughout this unprecedented period of transformation.
Another fun display at the D23 Expo are the Epcot attractions posters. They even have the upcoming Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana” listed up there. But if you’ll notice there is a blank space with the enticing sign of a big reveal coming on Sunday. Could this be a new country pavilion coming our way? Stay tuned…
