Disney Guest Assaults Cast Member Over a Tower of Terror Fastpass at Hollywood Studios
Tower of Terror indeed. At least it was for guests and Cast Members on July 13th when a 23-year-old woman from Chicago went beserk over not having a FastPass for the Tower of Terror attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. According to several online reports, the woman ended up assaulting the Cast Member by punching her in the face and began pushing buttons on a nearby console even after the employees warned her actions could affect the ride. The incident was logged in an Orange County sheriff’s report. However, the Cast Member chose not to press charges against the woman.
Reports suggest the attack began on the evening July 13th when the women and her group from Chicago became upset that their FastPasses weren’t valid for Tower of Terror which is known for its long lines (particularly during the Summer.) The incident reportedly happened at the pre-show portion of the ride where visitors watch the “Twilight Zone” clip before being let through to the ride queue.
This story is hot on the heels of a viral video released earlier in the month showing a fight that broke out at Disneyland theme park escalating to physical violence before security had to break up the scene.
