Guardians Of The Galaxy 3: Anything To Know?
The Guardians of the Galaxy films are a couple of my favorite in the entries in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
And, just like many fans, I was disheartened when the film was delayed.
But now, with the band seemingly back together, we’re happy to find a list of everything “we know” about GOTG3 on Cheatsheet.com.
Nebula & Mantis – Pre-Filming PJ Party?
But are they fliming? Sure, it’s cool to see Gillan and Klementieff together again. However, is producation under way?
So what do we know about Guardians of the Galaxy 3
Cheatsheet.com weighed in on the Guardians re-entry into the MCU:
— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) March 15, 2019
- When Gunn was rehired [See above], it was with the caveat that he would be able to finish filming The Suicide Squad for DC, which he was hired to do during his time away from the MCU. This meant that the timeline for Vol. 3 would be pushed back, and filming likely wouldn’t begin until 2020.
- But on June 29, 2019, Karen Gillan (Nebula) posted a photo on Instagram [At top of page], which she captioned “PJ/burger part with @pomklementieff #nebulaandmantis.” If these two GOTG actors are hanging out, does that mean that shooting has begun early?
- Despite the cute image (which could be a throwback for all we know), it’s very unlikely that Vol. 3 is in production just yet. For one thing, Gillan herself has been in Europe filming her upcoming action flick Gunpowder Milkshake for the last month. Meanwhile, Dave Bautista (Drax) has been promoting his comedy Stuber.
- …Another reason why they’re likely not filming now? Star Chris Pratt has been busy for the last few weeks: He married Katherine Schwarzenegger, and it looks like they just got back from their honeymoon. And Gunn himself has had several weddings to attend, including Pratt’s and that of his own brother, Sean Gunn, who has been involved in both Guardians films.
- Right now, there’s no word on that. Chris Hemsworth isn’t in the loop — or if he is, he’s keeping quiet for now. What we do know is that, despite the rumors, the movie will not be called Asgardians of the Galaxy, thanks to recent confirmation from Gunn.
So, it’s probably not filming yet. Gunn is busy at the moment. And there’s no word on whether Thor will join the team. Check.
Long story short: We’ve got time to kill before GOTG3 hits theaters. Are you looking forward to it as much as we are?
