Smugglers at Galaxy’s Edge Take Off with Many Items In the New Land
Guests the visit Disneyland have a habit of taking certain items from the parks in abundance that are free, such as park maps and free buttons. Some ‘smugglers’ have been doing the same thing at the new Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland. These items that didn’t have a price tag, mysteriously end up on eBay with a price tag. If you search Galaxy’s Edge on eBay, you will see many items that should have never left the Black Spire Outpost. As a result of these people’s greediness, Disney has made some of these items no longer available.
People were taking as many as 20 maps at a time for the new land. Seeing as they are free in the parks, making $6 a piece from the offline can look appealing to some.
The one of a kind metal sporks at Docking Bay 7 were also taken in abundance. They are showing up for as much as $80 online. More traditional metal and plastic forks are offered now with meals in the counter-service restaurant.
The color-coded flight crew cards assigning visitors to pilot, gunner and engineer positions on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction are fetching as much as $20 online. Flight crews are called by color while they wait in the hold of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.
The laminated menus for Oga’s Cantina started showing up on eBay for $40 during the Disneyland employee previews before regular visitors were even allowed into the park. Oga’s employees now hand out the ragged-edge menus more selectively and collect them more quickly once you’ve placed an order.
Also, the one of a kind Oga’s Cantina coasters are being seen for going at $10 a piece online as well. The graphically stylish coasters have sayings written in the Star Wars language of Aurebesh.
It’s a shame a few have to ruin it for everyone else.
