Several New Additions Coming To Disney’s Coronado Springs Including Cast Member Costumes!
There’s lots of excitement going on over at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. 2019 will mark a new tower, a few new restaurants, and even new costumes for Cast Members! Last week, Disney unveiled the new costumes that will fit in perfectly with the reimagined resort. Check them out below:
New Cast Member Costumes at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
The costumes, designed by Josh Winchester who worked closely with Executive Architect David Stofcik and the Walt Disney Imagineering, feature brilliant colors to tie in the Resort’s classic Spanish influences with Disney’s imaginative touches. Winchester used inspiration from the works of Spanish artists for an earthy color palette, bold patterns, and beautiful textures.
While the new Cast Member costumes for Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort look to the past for inspiration, they also take modern day function into account. Costumes are able to be customized and even feature some “mix and match” options Cast Members can wear in certain parts of the Hotel.
New Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
As mentioned, the new Cast Member costumes aren’t the only new additions coming to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. On July 9, 2019, the new Gran Destino Tower will also open on the property. Once open, The Gran Destio Tower will serve as the new main entrance point for guests visiting the Resort and will add a total of 545 new guest rooms (including 50 suites) to the resort, as well as feature a gorgeous two-story lobby.
Toledo – Tapas, Steak, & Seafood
At the top of the new Gran Destino Tower will be the all-new Toledo – Tapas, Steak, & Seafood Restaurant. The Restaurant will offer tapas, seafood, and steak in style at this Spanish haven inspired by surrealist art and the 1930s avant-garde. The rooftop restaurant will also offer some of the best views in all of Walt Disney World.
Three Bridges Bar & Grill
Centered in the middle of Lago Dorado and accessible by three bridges from various locations around Disney’s Coronado Springs, Three Bridges Bar & Grill serve up sandwiches, shared plates, salads and more. Consider it the perfect place to unwind after a day in the Parks!
