Tasty Treats Kids are Sure To Love at This Year’s Flower & Garden Festival
One of the highlights of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival each year is the opportunity to sample tasty dishes from around the World at the amazing outdoor kitchens. However, visitors with small children may be wondering whether or not any of the delicious dishes on offer are kid friendly. The answer is a resounding yes! To help you narrow in on options that your little ones might like come mealtime here are a few of our favorite kid-friendly options!
Pretzel Bread – Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market
If your kids are anything like mine then pretzels might as well be their own food group. That’s why we’re positive they’ll love these delicious pretzel rolls served with melted Gruyere Cheese and Black Forest Ham!
Orange Cream Slushy – The Citrus Blossom
Your tiny tots can stay cool in the Orlando heat with this Orange Cream Slushy. It can also be served up with an optional Orage Bird Souvenir Sipper cup!
Macaron au Chocolat en Sucette- Fleur de Lys
Kids of all ages will love these gorgeous large chocolate macarons covered in sprinkles and served on a stick. They are the perfect treat to nibble on as you stroll around the World Showcase!
Frushi – Hanami
We think this sweet treat is the perfect way to introduce your tiny tots to the idea of sushi! The dish is made up of fresh pineapple, strawberry and melon rolled with coconut rice and garnished with a wee bit of whipped cream. It comes topped with a berry sauce and toasted coconut.
Five Layer Cotton Candy – Lotus House
This outdoor kitchen in the China Pavilion is generating a lot of buzz for their incredible five-layer cotton candy creations! This awe-inspiring cotton candy treat comes with five different flavors expertly crafted into the shape of a flower. As it comes in at $15.00 is you may want to share. Smaller cotton candy flowers are also available here for a lower cost.
Maple Popcorn Shake – Northern Bloom
Throughout the year Disney fans flock to the Canadian Pavilion for their delicious maple-flavored popcorn. During festival time kids will delight in this special treat combining three delicious things, milkshakes, maple syrup and popcorn. This shake is definitely delicious with the popcorn as a garnish on the top. Portion sizes are just right for parents who are okay with your little ones trying something sweet without going overboard!
Dole Whip – Pineapple Promenade
During the Flower and Garden Festival, you don’t have to head to Magic Kingdom to indulge in this delicious pineapple soft-serve treat! Pineapple promenade serves it up in a cup or for the truly adventurous how about in float form with Fanta!?
Pulled Pig Sliders – The SMOKEHOUSE Barbecue and Brews
For something on the savory side, I always find sliders to be a safe bet with little ones. These pint-sized sandwiches come with coleslaw and are the perfect wee bite!
