8 New Exciting Restaurants Coming to Walt Disney World in 2019
Let’s face it. We say we are going to Walt Disney World for the rides and attractions but we are really just there for the food! If food is one of your main draws to “The Happiest Place on Earth,” you really have tons to get excited about as 2019 is going to bring several new dining options to please every palette. Check out them out below:
1. Jaleo
Jaleo isn’t just coming to Disney Springs in Walt Disney World, it just opened there over the weekend! The restaurant, backed by celebrity chef Jose Andres, offers authentic Spanish-style food such as paella and tapas (small plates). Jaleo at Disney Springs will be Chef Andres’ first location in the state of Florida.
2. NBA Experience
In addition to the exciting interactive games, immersive experiences, and shopping coming to the new NBA Experience opening at Disney Springs, will be the great new food selections! The NBA-themed attraction is scheduled to open sometime this Summer.
3. City Works Eatery & Pour House
Also scheduled to open this Summer in the West Side area at Disney Springs, City Works. The sports bar that boasts a 165-inch television screen will also offer over 80 beers on draught. Menu items that will be offered at City Works will include duck nachos, kung pao cauliflower, and braised short rib tacos.
4. Toledo – Tapas, Steaks, and Seafood
If you are looking for rooftop dining with some great views including fireworks, Toledo will be the place to be! Toledo will be located at the top of the soon-to-be-open Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. And, as the name indicates, will feature tapas, steaks, and seafood.
5. Three Bridges Bar & Grill
Another new restaurant opening at Walt Disney World this Summer as part of Disney’s Coronado Springs expansion will be Three Bridges Bar & Grill. The restaurant will feature a more casual vibe than Toledo and will be located in the middle of a large lake right in the middle of the Resort!
6. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
Much excitement has been building around the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. While I’m sure the rides and attractions are going to be out of this world, I can’t wait to try out the food! One of the new food options opening in the new “Land” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Once open, the quick service eatery will offer Ithorian Garden Loaf, Smoked Kaadu Ribs, Braised Shaak Roast, and Fried Endorian Tip-Yip.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is set to open on August 29, 2019 at Walt Disney World.
7. Oga’s Cantina
Also opening inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is Oga’s Cantina. The immersive bar will offer Bantha Blue Milk and other specialty cocktails. Themed non-alcoholic drinks will also be available. Live music will be offered by DJ RX-24.
8. Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera
Topolino’s Terrace will be located on top of the new Riviera Tower which is opening on the same grounds as Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort towards the end of 2019. Topolino’s Terrace will be located on the roof of the new tower and boasts views of the fireworks from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. The menu has a French and Italian vibe and will also offer a character breakfast!
