Magic Kingdom Foodie Update for February 2019
Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration is officially in full swing at Walt Disney World and with both Mardi Gras and St. Patricks Day just around the corner, there is a tantalizing array of treats coming to the Magic Kingdom. Here’s a quick taste of some of the exciting goodies you’ll want to be on the lookout for!
Character themed ice cream cones? Yes please! These delicious treats will be available starting February 24th and are definitely Instagram-worthy! The first cone to be released is inspired by Hei Hei from Moana and features a blue sugar cone topped with raspberry soft-serve, pineapple Dole Whip, sugar eyes, and sour candy. Pick yours up at Aloha Isle in Adventureland!
The next cone will be available at Storybook treats! The Lost Princess Cone is a purple one and comes topped with lemon soft-serve and a gorgeous display of edible flowers. The third and final cone can be found at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies. Dubbed the “Adventure Is Out There Cone” is made up of a blue sugar cone topped with mango-soft-serve and a candy balloon piece.
As they say in New Orleans “Laissez les bon temps rouler!” You can definitely let the good times roll with this delicious Princess and the Frog -themed Whoopie Pie just in time for Mardi Gras! This treat is available for a limited time only at Liberty Square Market and is made up of a cinnamon whoopie pie with graham cracker icing, sprinkles and a chocolate frog.
You heard it here first! The March hotdog of the month at Casey’s Corner will be the Corn Beef Hash Dog. It’s a great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all month long. It comes topped with crispy potatoes, corned beef, cabbage, and a Blarney sauce drizzle.
The sundae pictured above is just one of the many treats you’ll find inspired by Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration. You can find the Mickey and Minnie Waffle Sundae at Sleepy Hollow. It comes with Mickey and Minnie-shaped waffles, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and toppings that include chocolate sauce, whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry! Pick yours up starting March 1st.
Guests will also find two Minnie Mouse-themed sundaes at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. The Minnie Sundae features two scoops of ice cream topped with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, strawberries, chocolate cream cookies, and a chocolate Minnie bow. The Main Street Split comes with ice-cream and a banana topped with strawberry and pineapple sauces, hot fudge, chocolate cream cookies and a chocolate Minnie bow. They’re available for you to enjoy starting March 1st.
Visitors to either Columbia Harbour House or Tony’s Town Square Restaurant will find delectable Mickey and Minnie Whoopie Pies. These are made up of red velvet filled with cream cheese icing and are topped with chocolate decorations. Over at Tortuga Tavern you’ll also find the Mickey Confetti Pretzel. It’s dipped in marshmallow fluff and topped with confetti sprinkles. Both of these treats will be available at the parks starting March 1st.
You’ll also notice when ordering ice cream during the month ahead that Magic Kingdom’s ice cream containers have been given a very Mickey and Minnie themed makover!
