Four Cutest Disney Couples We All Love
Happy Valentine’s Day! We’re celebrating love this week — we love our families, we love our spouses and we love our friends. Of course, we love Disney too, so it only made sense to honor Disney’s best couples!
Up’s Ellie and Carl
In this 2009 film, it only took 10 minutes — right at the beginning of the movie — to make us fall in love with Ellie and Carl. Through a montage of their life together up until Ellie’s passing, we see how much the couple loved each other and how much Carl is hurting (we’re not crying, you’re crying).
Carl made a promise to Ellie before she died and the widower (played by the legendary Ed Asner) decides to tie thousands of balloons to his house and try to get to see South America. What Carl doesn’t know is that a young scout, Russell, is inside the home when the house takes off.
Wall-E’s Wall-E and Eve
In 2008, we were introduced to a robot who just stole our hearts. Wall-E is a sole compactor robot on a future, uninhabitable, deserted Earth and he cleans up and tries to make the best of his circumstances. When a probe (Eve) is sent by the starship Axiom, Wall-E starts out feeling scared and ultimately falls in love with Eve.
Wall-E literally went to the ends of the galaxy for Eve, traveling from the only world he knew and stowing away on a ship, just to make sure that she is safe. The two robots bring out the best in each other — Wall-E made Eve more playful and Eve made Wall-E braver. Robot love — how many times can you say ‘awwwww’? We lost count.
Tangled’s Flynn and Rapunzel
This 2010 Disney blockbuster brought together Flynn Rider and Rapunzel. Their relationship is based on a mutual trust and growth and understanding of each other’s flaws and fears. They protect each other and prioritize each other’s happiness as well as their own.
Sounds like Flynn and Rapunzel have the start of a long and healthy relationship. When Flynn says “You were my new dream,” and Rapunzel responds, “And you were mine,” hearts melted in every movie theater.
Mickey and Minnie
We can’t have a list about Disney’s best couples without talking about Mickey and Minnie, who will make you believe in love. Let’s reflect back a little bit on their relationship. Minnie’s first boyfriend wasn’t Mickey — it was his rival, Mortimer.
The first time Minnie appeared alongside Mickey was in the 1929 short called “Plane Crazy“, when Mickey invites Minnie along for a ride. It’s a rough start for Mickey when he kisses Minnie mid-flight and she parachutes out of the plane. They do finally get together and Mickey officially refers to Minnie as his girlfriend in 1929’s Mickey’s Follies.
But nothing about the couple is as cute as this: The woman who did the voiceover for Minnie, Russi Taylor, married the man who did the voiceover for Mickey, Wayne Allwine, in 1991. They were married until Wayne passed away in 2009.
Obviously, u over looked Donald & Daisy!!! Now shes an amazing female!!!
