The Best Disney Time Lapse Videos
Disney Parks are the most visited and most renowned theme parks in the world. Their unparalleled attention to detail and passion for storytelling sets them far above the competition- if you can even call other theme parks ‘competition. It’s true there are secrets behind the magic we’ll never learn. The Disney time lapse videos are always my favorites to watch, and we’ve narrowed down our playlist to the best of the best below…check them out!
Construction
If you visited today, Walt Disney World Resort is basically one big construction project. New bridges are going up and roadways are widening in prep for the 50th anniversary, and that’s not even factoring in the massive amounts of construction work happening over at Galaxy’s Edge or the Disney Skyliner!
Hopefully we’ll be treated to time lapse videos of those construction projects when they’re completed, but until then, Disney has got us covered! Starting off at Walt Disney World Resort, the time lapse video showing the construction of Spaceship Earth shows us the inner workings of the Spaceship Earth attraction!
Right where it all began, one of my all-time favorite time lapse videos was taken during the construction of Disneyland Park. The time-lapse video below was taken over a few months’ time, and all these years later, the precise camera placement that captured this incredible footage has not been forgotten:
Shows and Ships
Watching an event play out via time-lapse video is a satisfying thing, but that satiety gets maximized tenfold when we’re watching a Disney time-lapse video! When Disney Cruise Line began their Alaskan itineraries a few years back, they knew they were beginning a new era of cruising for their guests. The time-lapse video below shows the Disney Wonder in its inaugural trip to Alaska, making new waves in what would become the future of Disney Cruise Line:
Another fantastic time-lapse video shows Magic Kingdom during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Appropriately titled #DisneyFamilia, this time-lapse video is a celebration of what Walt Disney hoped he would create: a place where families could have fun together! I’d say he succeeded, wouldn’t you?
Holiday Decorations
Disney is famous for decorating their beloved Parks for Halloween and Christmas in mere hours, and when guests started to question the accuracy of their claims, Disney took action. Unless you’re there to see the transformation take place overnight, it’s easy to be skeptical.
Disney wanted not only to prove just how quickly their teams can assemble, disassemble, and assemble entire Theme Parks-worth of decorations, but also to let us in on a bit of the pixie dust that goes into making the Holidays in a Disney Park so magical! Which time-lapse video is your favorite?
If you could have been present for one of the filmings, which would it have been? I know my answer, so comment below with yours and we’ll compare our thoughts!
