7 Reasons Why We Love Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom
We here at MickeyBlog are about to let you in on a little secret! For those looking for a place to rest those weary feet while at the Magic Kingdom, you may want to check out Columbia Harbour House located in Liberty Square just down the lane from the Haunted Mansion. This rather unassuming quick service restaurant has been providing a much-needed rest and tasty grub to Disney insiders season after season. For this Disney regular it is one of my go-to Quick Service options with each visit. There’s a lot like about Columbia Harbour House. Here are just a few of the reasons I’m smitten.
1. Location!
Nestled on the main thoroughfare in Liberty Square this is typically a quieter part of the park compared to the hustle and bustle of nearby Fantasyland. You’ll find Columbia Harbour House located across from the Liberty Square Riverboat and next to Memento Mori (the Haunted Mansion gift shop) There is a massive stroller parking lot just next to the restaurant making it perfect for those with buggies in tow!
2. Ambience and Space (Lot’s of Space)
When people visit Columbia Harbour House for the first time you enter on the ground level amidst the hustle and bustle with foot traffic and busy Quick Service lines. However, there’s no need to scramble for a table on this level. Instead look for the stairs taking you up to an oasis of calm! The reason most love Columbia Harbour House is due to the fact that there’s a spacious upstairs dining room that many visitors don’t know exists. For that reason, there’s no fighting for a table or any need to scramble for a place to sit. Rather you and your family can enjoy a nice relaxing lunch or dinner. The dark wood and beautiful picture windows are also a nice break from the bright and frantic scene just outside.
3. Lobster Rolls
As the name suggests, Columbia Harbour House has a rather seafood-heavy menu. There’s one entree, in particular, that makes many must-try lists and that’s their delicious Lobster Roll. It comes with chilled lobster, a touch of mayo, a New England Style Bun and comes with a side of House-Made Potato Chips. Other highlights include the Lighthouse Sandwich which is popular amongst vegetarian visitors. There’s also delicious salads, a rich and creamy Clam Chowder and (my daughters favorite) a children’s Tuna Sandwich which comes shaped like a fish!
4. Soft Drink Refills
Drink until your heart is content and drink some more! This Quick Service location is known for doling out drink refills to thirsty clients. Simply head to the far left side of the counter for a top up!
5. Lemonade Slushy
If like me, the heat forces you to be on the constant hunt for frozen drinks then pop into Columbia Harbour house and order up an odwalla Lemonade Slushy. It is the perfect hot weather thirst quencher!
6. Mobile Ordering
7. Tidy Restrooms
If you’ve spent any time at Disney World than you know that not all restrooms are created equal. But the ones you’ll find upstairs at Columbia Harbour House make for the perfect pit stop. A quieter dining hall means faster access to the facilities which every time I’ve been there have always been well maintained!
Quick Tip: If there’s one time to avoid dining at Columbia Harbour House it’s during the afternoon Festival of Fantasy Parade. Liberty Square is along the parade route which can make for heavy crowds and gridlock.
So during your next visit to the Magic Kingdom, make Columbia Harbour House your quick service of choice! You won’t be disappointed. The restaurant does accept the Disney Dining Plan and is open daily. Its open from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

My family and I ate here during our trip in which my husband proposed. The clam chowder gave me food poisoning and caused me to vomit heavily immediately before my husband attempted to propose (in front of Cinderella’s castle for Wishes). This restaurant ruined his proposal. I would never ever recommend eating here. I’ve told everyone I know about this debacle.
Hi. We’ve eaten there once. I concur with the location and benefits. Do you have a restaurant in Epcot that would have a similar set of benefits?
By the way, great article – you do a very good job with these articles.
Thanks…
Love this place for a quick meal! Give me some hush puppies!!!!
