If a big item on your Walt Disney World must-do list is meeting your favorite characters then booking a character dining experience is a fantastic way to do it! All of the theme parks, as well as many of Disney’s Deluxe Resort properties, offer opportunities to rub shoulders with some of your favorite friends while you dine. However, if you’re new to the Disney planning game, knowing what characters to find where can be a bit of a process. That’s why we here at MickeyBlog thought we’d remove the guesswork and share with you a comprehensive list of all of the character dining opportunities you’ll find!
Magic Kingdom
Cinderella’s Royal Table
For first time visitors to the Magic Kingdom, dining in Cinderella Castle is a rite of passage for any Disney princess in the making! Here you’ll find a lot of Disney Royalty. This includes Cinderella (you have a photo op with her at the entrance, Ariel, Aurora and Snow White. Belle and Jasmine have also been known to make the rounds though they tend to come and go. Cinderella’s Royal Table is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Crystal Palace
This delicious buffet located at the top of Main Street U.S.A is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and features much-loved friends from Hundred Acre Wood including Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore.
Be Our Guest
For those lucky enough to nab a dinner reservation at this popular Fantasyland eatery designed to look like the beasts castle, The Beast will be on hand to welcome you to his abode. Unlike other character dining experiences, the Beast will not visit each table. However, he does pose for photos at the exit to your restaurant once your meal is through. Also from time to time, he will visit the dining rooms to give you a regal wave!
Epcot
Garden Grill
This rotating restaurant located in The Land Pavilion is a fan favorite for its delicious home cooking but also for a chance to mingle with much-loved critters Chip ‘n’ Dale! Other characters that may make an appearance are Pluto and Mickey (dressed in his farmer outfit.) This restaurant offers character dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Another popular princess dining experience, Akershus (located in the Norway Pavilion) is open for breakfast lunch and dinner. During this royal feast, you’ll have a chance to meet Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and Ariel. The princesses also lead little ones through the princess procession around the restaurant which is sure to pull at your heart strings!
Hollywood Studios
Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine – Hollywood and Vine
This is a popular breakfast dining option that is perfect for Disney Junior fans. Making the rounds during this all-you-care-to-eat breakfast buffet may include Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Jake from Disney Junior’s Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Vampirina and Roadster Racer Goofy!
Minnie’s Seasonal Dine – Hollywood and Vine
Since this is the year commemorating 90 years of Mouse Magic, we can’t think of a better character dining experience. Guests can tuck into a delicious all-you-care-to-eat buffet while mingling with Minnie, Mickey, Daisy, Donald and Goofy. Their outfits change according to the season which makes for some great photo ops. Meals here can also be combined as part of the Fantasmic! Dining Package providing VIP seating for the evening Fantasmic! production.
Animal Kingdom
Tusker House
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner this buffet restaurant located in Harambe Market is known for its delicious world cuisine and fun character interactions. During your visit, you’ll be able to meet Safari Mickey, Daisy, Donald, Pluto and Goofy. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also book as part of the Rivers of Light Dining Package providing you with preferred seating for the nighly Rivers of Light water pageant.
Resorts
Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo & Stitch – Ohana – Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Guests dine on breakfast classics brought to your table family style and with a tropical twist while being visited by Lilo, Stitch, Hawaiian Mickey, and Pluto. Character dining is only available for breakfast!
Bon Voyage Dining – Trattoria Al Forno – Disney’s Boardwalk
This delectable breakfast offer features amazing dishes like delicious muffins and pastries, frittata and the scrumptious breakfast calzone. Guests will also have an opportunity to meet and pose for photos with two of your favorite Disney couples: Rapunzel and Flynn Rider and Ariel and Prince Eric.
Chef Mickey’s – Disney’s Contemporary Resort
This all-you-can-eat buffet is located in the atrium of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Reservations can be made for breakfast, lunch or dinner and guests are visited by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck and Goofy. Its high energy singing, dancing good time!
Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner – 1900 Park Fare Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The stars of this evening character dining experience are Cinderella and Prince Charming. However, it isn’t long before the feast gets crashed by Lady Tremaine (the Evil Stepmother) as well as Anastasia and Drizella (Evil Stepsisters) from Cinderella. Fairy Godmother has also been known to occasionally make an appearance.
Minnie’s Beach Bash – Cape May Cafe – Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort
During this morning beach-style buffet, Daisy Duck is on hand to visit your table as you dine on much-loved Disney breakfast classics like Mickey Waffles, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, fruit and more! Other characters include Minnie (of course) as well as Donald and Goofy!
Storybook Dining – Artist Point- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort
The newest character dining option on our list, Artist’s Point at Wilderness Lodge has been magically transformed into an enchanted forest where you can dine on delicious dishes while meeting Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy and can even have your photo taken with the Evil Queen. This option is only available for dinner.
Supercalifragilistic Breakfast – 1900 Park Fare Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
This breakfast offering features a rotating cast of Disney characters which may include Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.
