10 Outstanding Must-Try Eats at Disney Springs
During your next visit to Walt Disney World, we here at MickeyBlog highly recommend that you take some time away from the resorts and theme parks to enjoy all that Disney Springs has to offer. At Disney World’s downtown shopping district you’ll find a plethora of amazing shops, delicious dining options and family entertainment. However, when it comes to knowing where to dine, the sheer amount of options can make it a tricky business. That’s why we’ve compiled a helpful list of some of our favorite cant’ miss treats! Give a few of these a try during your next visit!
Taco Cone – 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck
Those looking for a hearty lunch to enjoy while you window shopping need look no further than this delicious bite (pictured above). The taco cones come with your choice of filling and toppings that include shredded lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, queso, cilantro, jalapenos and a lime wedge. This dish is pretty hefty and definitely eats like a meal. You can pick yours up for $11.99.
Build a Picnic Basket -Wine Bar George
There is so much to love about Wine Bar George which is run by Master Sommelier George Miliotes. From impressive wine lists to one of the best charcuterie in Orlando. However, our absolute favorite has to be the picnic baskets which add a bit of a fun/romantic vibe to your Disney Springs outing. For $60 guests get an awesome picnic basket loaded with sandwiches, cookies, the wine of your choice and tapas-style bites like hummus and olives. Best of all? You can keep the picnic basket for future adventures!
Poutine – The Daily Poutine
If you’ve not yet tried this Candian treat then you don’t know what you’re missing. Poutine is fries served in beef gravy that is then topped with delicious cheese curds. That’s the speciality being served up at this Disney Springs kiosk. Visitors can get the standard Poutine or experiment with some of the amazing varieties on offer from the French Poutine with a Mushroom Cream Sauce and Gruyere Cheese to Oktoberfest Poutine with Stout Gravy, Bratwurst Sausage, Sauerkraut and Cheese Curd. The portions are hearty and will set you back $9.00.
Cupcakes From the Cupcake ATM- Sprinkles
You can’t go wrong with any of the delicious cupcakes being served up at Sprinkles in Disney Springs. Some of our favorites include sprinkle, chocolate marshmallow and red velvet. However what makes these cakes even cooler is that you can order them at the onsite cupcake atm. Watch as the little pink window opens up and voila! There’s your cake.
Wine Slushie – Amorette’s Patisserie
Though many people pay a visit to Amorette’s to check out their incredible Disney-themed dome cakes, our reasons for visiting are different! We think that the wine slushies being served up here are totally divine and a make the perfect treat will shopping at Disney Springs. The varieties on offer change with the seasons with a mix of white and red options on offer. Pick up one of these delicious drinks for $9.00 during your visit.
Lobster Roll – Paddlefish
Calling all seafood-lovers heading to Disney Springs, we’ve got just the treat for you! Paddlefish serves up a lobster roll that never fails to impress. It comes with Main lobster, lemon-infused mayonnaise and celery on a split top bun. With a price tag of $31 it is a bit of an indulgence but one we’re sure you’ll love!
The Original 1762® – Earl of Sandwich
Speaking of sandwiches, the ones being served up at Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs have reached cult-like status among regular visitors. It’s easy to understand why as they are absolutely delicious. A visitor favorite is The Original 1762 which features roasted beef, cheddar and horseradish sauce. Order one up during your next visit for $7.99.
Shine Cake – Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’
Though I love a good entree as much as the next person, for me nothing beats a delicious dessert and the sweets on offer at Chef Art Smith’s Disney Springs restaurant definitely deliver. The adults-only Shine Cake features a butter cake soaked in moonshine syrup served with a seasonal fruit gastrique and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. The taste? Simply divine. Order up a slice for $11.00.
Coca-Cola Flights – Coca Cola Rooftop Beverage Bar
If you’re a Coca-Cola fan then you’ll absolutely love the Coca-Cola flights being served up at this rooftop refreshment bar. Our favorite is the Combo tray. For $16.00 you’ll get to sample 16 sparkling and still beverages from around the world as well as 8 domestic Coca-Cola products with vanilla ice cream!
Morimoto Spare Ribs – Morimoto Asia
You can’t go wrong with any of the incredible dishes at Morimoto Asia. However, if there’s one item, in particular, that’s generated a lot of buzz it’s the finger-licking Morimoto Spare Ribs. With this delectable dish, it’s all in the sauce. This half-rack of ribs comes with cilantro and a hoison sweet chilli glaze. They cost $27.00.
