Check Out the Amazing Eats You’ll Find at Disney World and Disneyland this December
If you’re paying a visit to the theme parks over the next few weeks then be sure to bring your appetites. You’ll find a wide array of new Disney treats on both costs including everything from beignet burgers to dino-themed cocktails. Check out our rundown of some of the best theme park bites for the month of December and be sure to jot down your favorites!
1. New Breakfast Items at Kusafiri Bakery- Harambe Market – Animal Kingdom
Head over to the bustling Harambe Market at Animal Kingdom where Kusifiri Bakery has added some new items to their breakfast menu (pictured above.) Options include a Cheese and Guava Danish, a Pistachio Honey Croissant, a Sausage Cheese and Egg Biscuit and a Spinach and Feta Quiche.
2. Whole-Stuffed Main Lobster – Coral Reef Restaurant – Epcot
Seafood lovers will want to make a reservation at the Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot’s future world as they’ve just added an appetizing new seafood entree. This whole-stuff Main Lobster comes with crispy baked potatoes and asparagus with bearnaise, lemon and butter! Its available for lunch or dinner.
3. New Chicken Gyro and Rice Bowl Options- Harambe Market – Animal Kingdom
The menu at Harambe Market has also been updated to include a few tasty new options. We can’t wait to try the Chicken Gyro served with African Coleslaw. There’s also three new bowl options: the Ribs Bowl, the Chicken Bowl, and the Roasted Vegetable. All three bowls come with cilantro rice, green salad base, green salsa and pico de gallo.
4. Cocktails, Mocktails and Appetizers – Restaurantosaurus- Animal Kingdom
Guests looking for the perfect place to kick back and unwind during your Animal Kingdom visit need look no further than the new Restaurantosaurus Lounge. Here guests can enjoy a selection of wines, beers as well as cocktails and mocktails. There are also some new yummy bites on the menu that make the perfect accompaniment. Some stand-out cocktails include the Tequilasaurus (a tart margarita), the Ferminted Fossil (a minty mojito), the Primordial Booze (pomegranate and lemonade with vodka), and the Carnotaurus Meteoritis (a bourbon sour). Mocktails (non-alcoholic) include the Teal Rex with pineapple and lemon juices, lemonade, and blue raspberry syrup, the Paleontology Punch with lemonade, Sprite, and cranberry, apple, pomegranate, and lime juices, and Raptor Refresher with cranberry and orange juice and strawberry purée. We recommend pairing this tasty drinks with a bowl of Sweet-and-Spicy Mixed Nuts or the Buffalo Chicken Dip served with house-made chips.
5. Beignet Burger – Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory – Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
Get your sweet and savory all in one with this new over-the-top offering. This burger comes topped with American cheese, bacon jam, pickled onions, bbq bayou sauce and house-made pickles. However, the real draw is the fact that burger comes in a sweet beignet bun doused with powdered sugar.
6. All-You-Can-Eat Chef’s Platter – Boatwright’s Dining Hall – Port Orleans Riverside
Riverside’s Table Service Restaurant is now offering a meat-lovers treat. This bottomless platter comes with ribs, Nashville hot chicken, barbecued beef brisket, smoked sausage, mashed potatoes, mace and cheese, sweet corn and green beans!
7. New Menu Items – Tambu Lounge – Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
This always-popular lounge at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has some tantalizing new menu items on offer. Appetizers include a Conch Ceviche (a savory mix served in a coconut) as well as a Shrimp Cocktail featuring fresh shrimp marinated in Florida citrus juices. There are also shareable platters including the Crispy Chicken Spring Roll served with pickled veggies or the Beef Carpaccio Tataki with thinly-sliced beef in a black pepper marinade topped with chilli oil. We also can’t wait to try the Tambu Mixed Grill Kebab with chicken, steak and shrimp served in a peanut sauce.
8. New Menu – Hungry Bear Restaurant – Disneyland
For the last tasty items on our list, we shift our attention to the West Coast where Hungry Bear Restaurant has added some delicious new items to its menu! Recent additions include two new sandwiches: the Honey-Spiced Chicken sandwich with lettuce and sweet and spicy spread and the Crispy Fish Sandwich with sweet and spicy slaw and lemon-citrus mayonnaise. There are also burgers galore with some of our favorites including; the Classic Cheeseburger, the BBQ Double Cheeseburger (with bbq sauce, an onion ring, and jalapeño pickle relish), Messy Melvin’s Vegan Specialty Burger served with a vegan patty and stewed vegetables.
