Disney Employee Confesses to Video Voyeurism in Employee Bathroom
Eric King (21-year-old male), a Disney World employee, was accused of video voyeurism in an employee bathroom at Animal Kingdom park. A fellow employee was using a urinal when he noticed a cellphone pointed at him from under a bathroom stall.
After seeing the phone, the victim yelled and banged on the bathroom stall asking what King was doing. He then took a picture of King’s shoes and waited outside the bathroom where he called security and the sheriff’s office.
About 20 minutes later, King attempted to flee the building but was stopped by the victim and another co-worker. When he was confronted, King initially denied having a cell phone but eventually revealed his phone and photo album.
He stated that he had dropped his phone while using it in the bathroom and believed that is what the victim saw. When asked why he hadn’t given that explanation initially, King said he did but the victim must not have heard.
Once authorities arrived, King gave the same explanation. Reports from the Orange County Sheriff stated the victim was unsure if he wanted to press charges. King willingly showed authorities his phone and photo album, which was then taken into custody for forensic analysis. A forensic analysis will allow authorities to determine if any photos were deleted.
Disney placed King on an unpaid leave pending investigation. It has now been reported that King confessed to the video voyeurism.
