Disney Cruise Line Continues to Have Some of the Cleanest Ships at Sea per CDC Reports
Periodically, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) executes unplanned inspections on cruise ships as part of their Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP). The VSP “assists the cruise ship industry to prevent and control the introduction, transmission, and spread of gastrointestinal (GI) illnesses on cruise ships.” Within the past year, these inspections were carried out on Disney Cruise Line’s fleet and they passed each inspection with flying colors!
The CDC requires a score of 86 or higher on these inspections to receive satisfactory status. Here’s how the Disney Cruise Line ships fared:
Disney Fantasy
The Disney Fantasy was inspected on September 22, 2018 and received a perfect 100%. Back in July of 2017, the ship scored 99% and in March of 2017, the score was 100%.
Disney Dream
The Disney Dream was most recently inspected on August 17, 2018 and received 100%. It was also inspected on April 19, 2018 and received another 100%. In 2017, the Dream received a score of 95% in August and 100% in March of last year.
Disney Wonder
The Disney Wonder received a 97% on their most recent inspection which was conducted on February 4, 2018. In 2017, the Wonder scored 96% in November and 100% in February.
Disney Magic
The Disney Magic has not yet been inspected in 2018 but did receive two scores of 100% in October and February of 2017.
