Ballast Point Brewery Coming to Downtown Disney District
The Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort has some exciting new additions to the District. As we know, the Salt & Straw scoop shop, the newly-renovated upper level of Naples Ristorante e Bar and the reimagination of the World of Disney flagship store have just recently opened. Disney announced a few months back that Ballast Point, the popular San Diego-based brewer, is slated to open this fall.
The family-friendly eatery is going to be 7,000 sq. ft. and will be the District’s first every on-site brewery, tasting room, kitchen, and outdoor beer garden. There will be an extensive selection of local, sustainable and seasonal fare – salads, small plates, flatbreads, and entrees, that will be well paired with their high-quality, award-winning beers. The menu will feature its most popular dishes, such as Baja-style fish tacos and a house-made pretzel with a beer mustard, along with items exclusive to the Downtown Disney District location. There will also be gluten-free options, vegetarian dishes and a children’s menu will be available.
Disney Parks Blog recently visited the experts at Ballast Point in their San Diego headquarters to learn more about the art and science of their craft, as well as its quintessential Southern Californian cuisine. Take a look at what’s in store for guests of Downtown Disney District!
Quality is the cornerstone of Ballast Point. It filters through everything they do—especially the beer. In fact, they have over 300 quality checkpoints from grain to glass to ensure you’re enjoying the best version of their brews.
To ensure you’re getting the best version of their beer, they have a national Field Quality team to regularly check their beer storage, freshness, and overall quality standards.
